Would love to hear Alison sing ‘In the deep mid winter’
Not a easy song to play or sing. Well done!!!
Lyrics
Good people all, this Christmas time,
Consider well and bear in mind
What our good God for us has done
In sending his beloved son
With Mary holy we should pray,
To God with love this Christmas Day
In Bethlehem upon that morn,
There was a blessed Messiah born
The night before that happy tide
The noble Virgin and her guide
Were long time seeking up and down
To find a lodging in the town
But mark right well what came to pass
From every door repelled, alas
As was foretold, their refuge all
Was but a humble ox's stall
Near Bethlehem did shepherds keep
Their flocks of lambs and feeding sheep
To whom God's angel did appear
Which put the shepherds in great fear
Arise and go, the angels said
To Bethlehem, be not afraid
For there you'll find, this happy morn
A princely babe, sweet Jesus, born
With thankful heart and joyful mind
The shepherds went the babe to find
And as God's angel had foretold
They did our Saviour Christ behold
Within a manger he was laid
And by his side a virgin maid
Attending on the Lord of Life
Who came on earth to end all strife
There were three wise men from afar
Directed by a glorious star
And on they wandered night and day
Until they came where Jesus lay
And when they came unto that place
Where our beloved Messiah lay
They humbly cast them at his feet
With gifts of gold and incense sweet.
Her voice is like none other...just heavenly.
Exquisite carol and -- so well done.
I love Wexford Carol, but Whoever mixed these human and instrumental voices together for this song did a superlative job that kicks it up several more notches. I love pure primitive no-tech unfiltered voice for Christmas but this assemblage is really breathtaking.
Ответитьbeautiful
Isn't she the singer from "Down to the River to Pray"?
I love her voice. Calming.

Absolutely beautiful❤
I think they definitely got it on the first pass and then some.
True talent doesn't need luck.

I heard this song for the first time a few days ago and it literally made me start singing it's so beautiful and heartfelt I wonder how ancient it is ?
This must be what Heaven sounds like❤

Her voice gives me chills, incredible voice.
What a Saviour! Alisons voice blessing us, and love the cello, violin, and bagpipes. Folks country music comes the Celts and PICTs of Ireland and Scotland 🏴.

This is truly beautiful, but my favorite will always be the pipe organ version. To me, it is the most heavenly 8nstrument of all. But Ms. Krauss certainly reflects HIS glory in this carol too. As for Ma, I cant get over the fact that he is a member of the WEF Its hard to allow myself to be inspired by anyone associated with that evil organization. He is a consummate musician. But.....
Yo-Yo Ma, the bagpipe player, Alison krauss and all the others made this beautiful music! I listen to it over and over
Ответитьanyone else here Loreena McKennitt?
Beautiful 🙏
Who is playing frame drum?
Got here from Diogenes Middle Finger!
Sometimes an American will play the ‘celtic’ card just to add kudos to their talent. No matter how rooted they may be in this culture by ancestry it is upbringing that shapes the Western child. With my eyes shut and no previous knowledge of who is singing, however, I could swear that this is an authentic British singer. Thank you Alison…
This rendition is absolutely amazing! I never tire listening to their performance! Two great artists!❤👏👍
Wonderful!!!
I need the lyrics bc I'm practicing this with my dad playing guitar lol

On my 70th revolution around this star that captivates this bubble called Earth. And the angels send me voices of angels to quell our fears... Yoyo and Allison brings in the new year! How eloquent!
My first exposure to Alison was her vocal performance on Natalie McMaster's 'Get Me Through December'. The gods must have reached down and touched her vocal cords when she was a baby.
Wow! She is just magic.
Beautifully expressive and played, outstanding 👍👍👍👍✌️
Our God was born. Get over it
We have a God. You have Darwin
ОтветитьYo Yo
Alison kicked his ass. As will always happen when commies try to compete with us. They have nothing. They are like light fighting dark. We have a message. They have frequencies
Beautifully executed! One of my Christmas favorites. Alice and Yo Yo nailed the landing. The arrangement and the backup musicians…just pure gold!
I have never heard this carol before and am so grateful to have found it. Such talent on display. Yo Yo Ma is wonderful but what a voice. Alison Krauss is incredible.
Alison has a Angelic voice and love this Carol by her
I like it much...
A Song for Ireland 🍃🧭
🌍🕊
Perhaps the definitive version. So hauntingly beautiful. So effortless. Understated yet powerfully rendered.
Despite having never heard the song before, I found it incredibly moving. Alison Krauss continues to have the voice of an angel and whoever put this project together is inspired. Happy holiday to all!
Allison, you have such an Angelic voice
