The ceiling collapses in my hotel lobby @ Hyatt Place Al Rigga, Dubai. Staff tries to cover it up.

The craziest thing happened to me yesterday.. A pipe bursted in my hotel lobby, and it made the ceiling collapse. I was in the lobby just minutes before & after the incident, narrowly missing the flying object by minutes on 2 occasions. I caught the aftermath on camera, and just a heads-up that this may be a little startling (at least 1 person was injured).

I was staying at a Hyatt Place in Al Rigga, Dubai, and I think that maybe they handle things a lot differently in this part of the world. When I left and came back ~90 minutes later, they closed off the front lobby and pretended that nothing happened. Even when I told them “hey guys, I was there and I saw what happened. I’m just wondering if anyone was hurt” the manager lied and said “no one was hurt”. But in my video, you can see that at least 1 person is on the ground and being given a wheel chair.

Later that night, the alarms in my rooms suddenly went off at 1am. I called the front desk and said “is there another emergency?” to which they responded, “that was due to a small fire in the kitchen (1st floor), nothing to worry about”. I don’t know why something would be burning at 1am there, and I don’t know why it would set off my alarm on the 6th floor, but I’m just coming to the conclusion that the whole building is falling apart.
