Unemployment Tax Refund: $169 Million Dollars Sent

I made $11,039 from unemployment and $1,100 were taken federal taxes. I filed March 11 and 2 dependents. I got my regular refund 3 weeks later. Am I qualified for a unemployment refund cuz I haven't received nothing yet

Being that the irs is closed on the weekends I started doing some research and came across your video and thank god I did!! I followed all the steps you suggested and it took me right to the refund date. Thank you so much!!

I haven't seen a dollar and I filed in March and paid my taxes while receiving unemployment. Government is taking advantage and getting payday sitmulus off our tax money. Lol

I am still confused if I need to amend. I made too much because of unemployment so now I know I am owed money because I did my taxes in February. I am a single mother with two kids. This caused me to not qualify for the child tax credit. I checked the IRS website to get my transcript but nothing yet.

I made $15,000 in Unemployment...paid 595 in taxes and IRS said I owed them so I got jack shit! And was not eligible for the Golden State Stimulus of 600. However I know several illegals who already got their 600.

My husband paid 738 in taxes on unemployment. He grossed 10900. or so, Married filing jointly with only him on unemployment. I worked during the whole pandemic. Are we considered a complicated case.

Your wrong no adjustment is needed do not amend your tax refund this will only delay your refund. Some people just like to see themselves talk. FACT no adjustment or amendment need .

Single, no dependents. Filed in February with AGI of $40,550. Unemployment wages included in that of $6,476. Total taxes paid $4,893. I received a refund which included my credit for not receiving the full amount on Stimulus #2.
Will I be eligible to receive this refund on the unemployment tax? My state has zero info on the Unemployment site, IRS has zero info and both still say "unemployment pay is taxable and reportable"

Well, I will not wait anymore; I will file an amended return to get my unemployment tax refund!

My tax program instructed us EA's NOT to file 1040X to file the exclusion; they asked us to wait directives from the iRS but I and other preparers who prepare taxes with DRAKE are still waiting but the exclusion only was included for returns after 03/13/20201. There is an 10200 unemployment exclusion PER SPOUSE in 03/2021 but they weren't modified in every tax program. This is somewhat of a relief because CA EDD has exhausted its unemployment funds. CA is weird because they were giving unemployment to felons or lifers. One client of mine has got unemployment 2X their wages and the spouse had unemployment almost equal the wages. I guess the former will be receiving unemployment refunds.

Ok question…..what if my 2020 transcript has 2 areas that say refund issued (1. Dated for 4-15-2021 w/amount of $1200….assuming that’s was the stimulus) (2. Dated for 5-12-2021 w/amount of $5100….again assuming that was my original 2020 Tax Refund that was filed in Feb but took weeks to process w/IRS) so that 2nd date & amount is NOT my refund issued for the unemployment tax refund? Correct???? Bc the steps I took to view my 2020 transcript the 2nd REFUND ISSUED was what the video/instructions said would be the amount for the refund….but this is NOT correct? Right?? Taxes confuse me!! Ugh I appreciate ANY feed back or help answering my question and thanks in advance!!
