I want to upgrade.
If i go with AMD r5 3600 i have to buy the Motherbord too
I my case Intel is cheaper!

I'm really late to this video but im gonna post this anyway. Recently paired an i5 8400 with a B360-G Asus Strix Mobo and man, what a DREAM combination is that. Super well balanced. Don't need to spend the extra for z390 Mobos and liquid coolers. This is a PERFECT combination because of power consumption also. Its GREAT. With my 1080ti can run ANY game at 1440p with solid 100+ FPS. Its freaking amazing!

In my country I got 8600k for RS. 20000 INR whereas 8700K was available for Rs. 39500 INR :(.
For gaming 8600k is best. Using at 5ghz without any issues.

happy with my 1800x honestly got it for 200 bucks.

The problem here is 8700k is not getting good gpu becoz there is no gpu better than 1080ti right now. But 8700k wants better gpu to work with its full performance. Its obvious 8600k doing well becoz 1080ti suits it. But 8700k is just plain bottlenecking.

* 8700k by far is the way to secure a more future proof gaming rig, if cash isn't an issue for you that is.

Lol :P Fuck you all people who talk about OC the 8600k to 5ghz. You're geeks and its strictly about bragging to other geeks about it.. lol.

1* Get the 8400 if you're an average Joe on a budget. While doing so You'll also save cash on a cheaper motherboard and using the stock heatsink. Best paired with a gtx1060 6gb or a basic gtx 1070 at most.

2* Get the 8600k like me if you like temps lower at the stock 3.6ghz. I let it boost to 4.1ghz at times in game for shits and giggles while getting 55'c on PUBG. It pairs nicely with a gtx1070, 1070ti or even a basic gtx1080.

3* Get the i7 8700k if you plan on getting at least a gtx1070ti, a high end OC gtx1080, gtx1170 or the gtx180ti.

Oh well, I hoped the 8400 would not be that far of from the oc 8600k, but then again it's a 1.2GHz difference (although around 100-150 dollars more expensive mobo+cpu). I guess if you are on a budget the difference would be a lot smaller, say with a 1070ti or a 1080. Also, I think if you are buying a 1080ti might as well go full blast with an 8700k for "future proofing" lol. Anyway, great video and keep up the great work!

ps: i buy a used asus strix oc 1080ti, coz it has a good price bargain with very good condition, like a new one.

AH, poor AMD, Intel only gave them a couple months of fun, before wiping the floor with their "Fallen" cpus. It is indeed the FX series all over again, allready weak at launch and absolutely decimated with Intel's next release, and now, just a year later, their best single thread performance is a whopping 35% behind, lol

Im running an i5 8600k on ASUS Prime Z370-P ATX with a 1050Ti 4GB and I haven't found anything yet I cant run on high even while recording, even DCS World multiplayer I run high-ultra range. I could probably push more out of it too but not worth the risk since I don't need to really lol. my cooling system usually is barely running and keeps it down good(fans & liquid cooled). I guess I made the right choices on mine, which surprises me because its my first gaming pc and im still pretty new to it all lol. Nice video, thanks.

I think your CS:GO tests are wrong, CSGO does not benefit from hyperthreading, those extra frames the i7 were getting are impossible.

Applying thermal paste with a Q-tip? Doing that leads to getting nice, cottony strands in the mix, which AFAIK isn't conducive to good heat transference. I mean yeah, go nuts when cleaning a CPU, but that isn't what is being shown.

a shame i keep seeing games that where made with intel testing and never patched for ryzen chips. still waiting on someone to run benchmarks with all chips @ 4.0ghz. but like most the like the flex intel higher clock speed and claim its better.

You using NVENC on Xsplit? I have never seen software encoding not have an effect on streaming on the any of my 8600K, 8700K and 1700 with 1080 Ti.
