I love hearing Connie's story. I grew up with nannies as my mother was single widowed Mom who needed a lot of support. Mom even taught them the kind of meals to prepare for the family. We bring them out like a family. Connie reminds me of my nanny Fatima.

The problem is that while all these moms being so busy for not able to raise their own kids, the kids develop more attachment to all these nannies than to their own mothers. They are missing out something very important that really gives significance to motherhood and parenting

I can completely understand choice and bodyguard, that I get. They are a bigger target than the average Joe. Much more spotlight on the families. I would do the same if I were them. My parents gave me very little attention or affection. They were just the worst but I still cherished those rare moments when they noticed me. Needless to say, as an adult I realised I never really loved my family bc they never loved me.

These nannies one day will be the most important person in these children’s life than their posh parent i'm sure, that day these parents will realize what mistake they did by not giving them time & care.

I think the smarter way to do this is having the help be part time. This allows the parents to have a bond with the kids and also for them to not rely solely on the nanny.
