That is a heavy rubber ball, it is not a light inflatable ball, these did not appear until the middle of the previous century... so if you tried to kick that rubber Mayan ball with your feet you would be seriously hurt. I think they didn't do it with their hands because they thought it would be too easy to score and they would lose interest. I think they were the precursors to some modern sports.

Hello. I am Chumash, Taos Pueblo, Maya, and Nazca. Seeing this means a lot to me and growing up I never knew why I love basketball so much. As I learned that modern day basketball was from this made my heart full.

I think this wasn't a game they played at all. Is a mistaken story. There is no way this could actually be a game a any point. In fact this could possibly be a death sentence more than a game. In fact it was neither of the 2. That game never existed.

These guys suck ass, i could imagine this was very aggressive and the players were very very talented, the difference between the way this game is being played and the way they originally played hundreds or thousands of of years ago is the difference between backyard ball compared to professional ball.
