Where are you located and also if I bring the back to you would you be able to work on it only for accessories and the last question is how much do you charge by the hour or buy the whole thing thank you ?

Do you have a video showing all of your add on’s to your bike?

Great video Chris and I see a few people have commented regarding the isolator not being sealed and the battery being mounted out in the open, so I won’t say any more. Thank you for your detailed and informative videos. I just picked up my new 2023 Goldwing and have been watching your videos for the past week.

Who ever wired Don Smiths GW originally needs to stay away from any kind of vehicle wiring. Wire nuts and scotch locks do not belong anywhere that the outside elements can get to. Soldered connections and heat shrink are a must...

I see you did not melt the solder in those butt connectors. You pretty much have to use a small torch and get them very hot before they melt. Otherwise not a a good connection. They will just pull apart. Ask me how i know. Great video thanks. Do you have any videos on installing other switches than what comes with some of these aftermarket parts? Could you also point out which wire harness does what? Thanks again

What do you do when adding new mods and have new wires that need to be added to the bundles you made? Do you just cut them apart and redo it?

By changing wire colors and putting heat shrink over the connections you make tracing wires impossible in the event of problems. Unless you make and keep a good wiring diagram...

Great video Chris, one thing that I have done when wiring accessories is use wire number sticks (Lowe’s or Amazon has them) and number the harnesses. I would write down the number in a log book for future reference. Great job with the HST nice and neat.
Thanks for the videos

Cruiseman, nice video and excellent job conveying fundamental principles used by electronics technicians.

The reason you want the isolator/fuse box to be sealed is because, unlike the battery, all the circuits in the box are in very close proximity to each other, close enough that a dose of water can cause a short between circuits. The distance between battery terminals is just too far for that to happen. (my early profession in the Navy was advanced electronics)

Suggest getting a wire grommet for your wago box cable opening. They are available at ace hardware and online.

The terminals on the battery not being sealed and the electronics inside the isolator not being sealed are two very different things. I'm not saying that the isolator is going to get wet and fail but the battery has no exposed electronics.

Cruiseman much respect - I can tell you know your stuff - I've done some home electric work, but for me I'm going to have to watch this video four or five more times just to catch up on what you're trying to explain. One, is the Showchrome accessory box some sort of power junction box?

I think there is a bit of difference between the show chrome isolator not being water proof vs the battery. If the battery gets wet the chance of water bridging and shorting the terminals on the battery is very slim. However, the isolator has a circuit board that could easily be shorted out with water, or corroded, or both. However, with that said I think it is pretty well protected under the seat. I have only had a motorcycle stall on me once in the rain. That was coming out of the Fraser Canyon into Hope, British Columbia. The rain was coming down so hard it just stalled the bike while driving. I pulled to the side of the road, waited five minutes and the bike started again and I was off. If I lived in Seattle, I might take some precautions adding some more water proofing to the Show Chrome.

Are you planning on doing a video on the new electrical connection isolator? It looks like their system of an isolator and sub wiring harnesses would be much simpler.

I also purchased that Pathfinder LED tail light kit with flasher but in your demonstration you used your ear Goldwing it showed the results of the tail lights when completed but my Goldwing is a 2009 and my brake lights reacted differently from yours.. also that path finder LED light kit came with no instructions whatsoever for the dealer to put these lights in this is some of the info you need to give us before we start purchasing these items that you suggest and should also show the different brake light reactions from different year Goldwings other than 2018 and up. Because you did not tell us that in your video that the brake light on different year Goldwings might be a different reaction in the tail lights four different year gold wings from 2001 to 2006 and 2006 to 2017 or 18...
