when number in ported in google voice, where will they notify me? meaning when I start the porting process, can i remove Sim from phone if I don't need to use it anymore? Or will Google voice send me some other notification or code on that same old number?

I've noticed none of the questions that have been asked have been answered by the uploader of this video. I followed the instructions exactly, and yet texts and calls did not go through to my phone. It's requesting I port, requiring a permanent disconnection from my regular carrier, and I don't know if that would cause me to lose my "real" number. I want to be able to switch back and forth.

I have a client how has 2 VOIP phones at their office associated with Google Voice. Is there a way to set them up so that the client can press a button on the phone (old school) and play back messages without having to use the Google online console?

I've ended up with two Voice accounts I want to merge, and no way to safely do it. My email address is associated with a google voice number I no longer use, and the google voice number I want to preserve is associated with an email I no longer need. Is there a way to delete or extract my main email and to associate it with the google voice number I use? It is a happy accident that my historical landline phone number became a google voice number; I like it and don't want to loose it. It would be great to have my email I use associated for say VM to email text message. Any help would be great. I don't suppose Google has any customer support for Voice.

When doing business and wanting to use the GoogleVoice#, what settings should be selected for this # when you're making calls for business purposes? Hope that makes sense. I am using this for a small business. The one issue I'd like to see resolved is when someone calls me. Instead of the caller hearing, (paraphrased), "Standby while we attempt to connect you to the GoogleVoicemail subscriber", I'd prefer they hear something like, "Standby while we connect you to your party" or "Please wait while we connect you". This way it sounds a little more professional. Is there a way I can record that message?

Thanks, Dusty, for this video, but I'm looking for answers to a specific: I accidentally hit "unlock" just checking things out and now I can't get it off & back to locked (so others can't grab my google phone number. Do I want to "port my number"? I mean I need the "lock" on right? When I touch it again, it takes me to pay for unlock? Not sure what I should do here.
