Sony A90J OLED vs. LG C1 OLED | Is it even close?

Walart is offering a clearance price of the 65" A90J for $1400-. Does anyone have any experience or thoughts about that TV?

IMO The A90J just cannot compete with the hard-hitting brightness/punch of the less expensive Samsung QN90B (have both.) Sony's picture and sound are refined, no doubt, and while the Samsung is not perfect, after experiencing mini-led I would hesitate to purchase another OLED.

Bought this TV recently and I can attach the legs to the middle of it or the outer edges. Why do you say that you can only have legs on the outer edges? Have they updated the design since this video was published or something?

I HAVE A 55 INCH SONY OLED A9G . SONY OLED A90J IS A STEP UP MODEL, OF COURSE BETTER THAN SONY OLED A9G IN TERMS OF PICTURE PROCESSING. NOW SONY OLED A90J IS USING XR PROCESSING. SONY OLED A9G IS USING ULTIMATE X PICTURE PROCESSING. SONY OLED A90J WILL ALWAYS BE MY DREAM MODEL.

I know this was created a year ago, but does it still stand? Every article/review I saw for best gaming TV listed the LG C2 as first place.

I think Sony charges $1000 more for one reason and that is if you want to keep the tv long enough, but that depends right? What if you want newer technologies. Personally I had bad experiences with Korean tv's and prefer Sony.

LG C1 by a mile for me. 4 x hdmi 2.1 ports at 48mbps and 120Hz VRR! I've now had 2 B7s, 1 48CX, 1 48C1, 1 48A1 and my main screen is now an 83C1 with the evo panel. I turn the OLED pixel brightness DOWN to 80! Simply no contest.

getting a LG C1 83 for gaming I got Sony while back they screwed me because it does not fulling use my ps5 let’s see how this goes

A grand+ more for the Sony 65" I would HOPE it would win, though I'm NEVER going to pay 2G+ for ANY TV unless inflation goes even more through the roof.

C1 for gamers no contest

LG has the best picture brightness but Sony has better colors that pops out for gaming sony is amazing with game mode on and i like model more not to thin or plastic LG software is bad i dont like it sony software is just smooth and clean for me remote control is better too and i love the design and details in sony i always love Samsung but last 3 tv i have so many problems with broken en buggy i make a step to Sony for the first time i have a x94j but want to go to oled i am bored of simple led tv and x94j is okay but its perfect tv colors are okay but dimming is bad and brightness is not clean i was yesterday in a shop and i have not mutch money i have seen Sony a90j and i was in love with it its amazing brightness collor and design and details are awesome so i gonna buy the Sony a90j thats winner for me

I have the LG C1 55", and I'm happy AF! I don't have the time to sweat over a few details, plus Sony's reliability isn't good, that's why they have the worst record when it comes to returns, and besides, the LG has four HDMI 2.1 ports, vs 2 with Sony, and that's a no brainer decision.

No VRR and Sonys top tier price for a mid tier product. Done w Sony. LG is where it’s at.The a90j has been shown and proven in many prof reviews to have deficiencies. The A80j is the better TV if you must have a Sony.

Hello digital trends. I’m a novice with this new technology and I have a question. Why are these companies charging so much extra, for slightly bigger screen? For instance, I just bought a LG C1 48 inch for £850 and the 65 inch at only 17inches bigger then the 48 inch, costs exactly double the price at £1700? If I was well off, I’d happily pay it but I’m on a budget and there’s no way I can justify, spending double, for few extra inches of screen. At least with this Sony Tv your comparing to LG , yes it’s £1000 more but at least you are getting a somewhat better Tv but so much extra for slightly bigger screen, is a slap in the face. I mean If I paid £850 for LG c1 48 then I only expect to pay double the price, if I got double sized screen. Not 17 inches more. I’m not gonna lie, I’m a little disappointed that LG lost this comparison and a little jealous that I can’t afford the Sony but I’ve never owned an Oled before and I’m really blown away.

On my LG c1 I watch some shows on Netflix in 1080p but the pic is incredible like 4K with hdr. Now I don’t have Netflix 4K package, anymore. Simply because it was good value for me. My question is
Are these 1080p Netflix shows looking like 4K because they was recorded in 4K and even watched in 1080p will look better? Or is it because my Lg c1 is quite new and advanced and that’s why it looks like 4K hdr at 1080p? Or is it a mix of both? I was watching Netflix show called Building Sex Rooms. Never watched anything like it. Was an alright slightly interesting watch but the thing that amazed me, is just how incredible it looks . Truly looks better at 1080p on C1 then watching actual 4K on old Tv.

doesn't it always come down to the money ha ha.. people, dont get caught into the spiral of "well, its only another 100 for this one, but the other one at that size is only 190 more, but the ...".. next thing you know your a300 dollar budget just ballooned up to 5 thousand and youre feeling helpless, frustrated and poor ha ha.. dont do it. write down on paper how much you'll use it, what you'll use it for, then review and buy. by the time we all figure it out, next years model is on the horizon..

Im using G1 55 inch for past 7 months but now I notice bit of reduction in clarity i don't feel the same as initial. I notice noise or blurriness in image . Is that a common issues or is it a problem please help me out

The C1 and A80 is a much more fair comparison because they are in the same bracket.

Unfortunately, no one told you that all OLED panels of Sony is manufactured by LG. What Sony has is the technological enhancements. This was a biased review before it was ever made.

I have had my a80j and I'm very happy with it. Honestly I couldn't justify the extra cost of the A90J over it.
