Buying gold to get rich as an investment strategy is not effective.
Storing n safe keeping physical gold to stay n remain rich is basically for those who r already rich with other non gold investment strategy of theirs...
To get rich , gold is not the ideal investment.
To stay rich, physical gold is the insurance...

Hey Akshat, for those who don't have liquidity needs, SGBs are the best option. Because of no charges and on top of that, we get 2.5% interest, which is better than 0% interest in Gold ETFs or Physical Gold.
If Gold appreciated 10%, SGBs will appreciate 12.75% because of the 2.5% interest on top of the appreciation.

physical gold every day, but why not invest in the guys getting the metal out of the ground too. Better still remove the capex expenditure and decrease the investment volatility and own a royalty company like Franco Nevada or Vox Royalty ? Bitcoin swings of 10%, 20%, 30% are too much for most investors

I came across DSP World Gold Fund and I have personally invested and made decent amount of returns. Their past returns have been also better than any MF in the market.

Though SGB gives 2.5% annual return but as the prices of gold rises it will also pay you interest which may be around 8%. So wouldn't it be good investment considering an average return of about 10%?

Gold any day is a better option, I have a friend in US , who consulted a US stock market broker regarding bitcoin and crypto currency and he recommended my friend not to go for it...it will not last for longer .
