How to get OLD STEAM UI AFTER PATCH TUTORIAL! (Still working)

THERE IS ONE MORE THING WHICH I FORGOT! Put those 2 commands after downgrading to older version so -vgui works again!
-noverifyfiles and -nobootstrapupdate
+updated steam.cfg file which finally works

i have an old laptop to play games when im not in home but now i cant use steam overlay cause use so much ram, thats what i want to revert

edit: they might not have but yesterday when i tried this method it just updated to the most recent version but it might have been a fluke

damn, dude, new ui sucks so much, they even fucked up "back" and "forward" buttons (they tend to skip through all pages now)
wish there was a proper way to revert to 2013's ui

if you dont have the 730 folder in userdata just download the steam config from the description

The new interface, say what you will about whatever improvements, the GUI is atrocious!

I don't get why anyone would necessarily bash and hate on the new look... I see that it is modern and rounded and just like Windows 11 overall. I only came here just because I have a low end PC and this new steam just lags and glitches and is at bad performance, but that's because I have bad PC, not everyone has it! I personally would keep it like that if I had a good PC like you all :v I don't get it

guys if this didnt work do the first step after try this instead "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steam.exe" -vgui -noverifyfiles -nobootstrapupdate -skipinitialbootstrap -norepairfiles -overridepackageurl "127 .0.0.1" -silent if u have it installed on a different drive change the letter "c"

Before we where use (steam lite) witch make steam launching close the browser and start with small mode and take only 50 mb from RAM by typing some commands but now after the new UI we can't do it anymore.

Didn't work It's keep return to the new update UI when i exit steam or and open it agine

Good tutorial. but when you switch between accounts using the new feature it will revert back to the new UI sadly.
