She's beautiful !
Це відео просто фантастика.
ОтветитьGreat video. Poor grammar.
ОтветитьNext video show more down below. What i could see of the craftsmanship was inspiring.
What is links top speed at full sail power?
ОтветитьA real privateer
ОтветитьYou are wrong about her missiion Her mission was to defend the country against tyranny.
Ответитьhow can we be certain of a ships gender? she, he, it?
ОтветитьShe's a beautiful armed schooner but the Yanks think a Union is made by the point of a gun. A confederation is made by a delegation of the people. Dissolving it is also by a delegation of the people. Any fate but submission.
Ответить"She has soul" Great. How many knots? How does that compare with the British Naval ships at the time? Frigates? Sorry if I get a bit annoyed at the hyperbole. When all it is is hyperbole it doesn't actually communicate. Everything this video said about this boat it could've said about a tree, a town, a house, probably a few mules. How she actually sailed, who sailed her is far more interesting and moving.
ОтветитьI love how they use the topsail to come about.
ОтветитьI think heavily armed is a bit overstated. A schooner can hardly stand up to a frigate, which is one of the smallest ship rigged Man O' War. A schooner is very weatherly and fast, though slower downwind. Lucky Jack Aubrey used a schooner as a tender for his ship, the Suprise.
ОтветитьGood thing she wasn’t the Antelope sloop
ОтветитьSeven feets under your keel, Linx.
ОтветитьThose kids never forget that day
ОтветитьYea yea yea
ОтветитьSailing is never going away. Most fun you can have on the water. Boats with motors get boring. When I take my small sailboat to the lake everyone watching loves it . They pay no attention to those $60,000 ski boats.
ОтветитьI wish my country had this type of history/ships. Its a young country and in all our history has a country we were never teached to love history.
Ответитьlol. How a privately own vessel looting and robbing from other ships became a Navy is beyond me. The Owner of these vessel kept everything for themselves. America the new nation saw nothing of the proceeds. They were pirates, no different than the Somalia kind.
ОтветитьThe Lynx
ОтветитьPrescribed!

The Crew climbed barefoot up maste om seil scooter siles were not suitabal for that.
ОтветитьThank you for bringing this great maritime legend and her soul back to a country that needs her now more than ever…

ОтветитьOur ancestor was one of those privateers in that war, He made himself "a pile of tin"........easy to find crews!

You guys for doing this work and remembering and teaching us with respect you for that but everybody should learn history even though good or bad learning it share it and make sure some things are never repeated. You are doing God's work and I respect you for that.
ОтветитьI hope one day to find a man who talks about me the way this man talks about this boat
ОтветитьGreat video
ОтветитьWhy are you talking about the fredom and the spirit of the lynx you have taken the fredom and the spirit of the indogen taken ther life murdering them to take theyr land?
ОтветитьWho could thumb down this??? Are you here by mistake??? Obviously. Anyone who appreciates history, the artisans that crafted such technology and admire those who crewed such weapons of war, who faced certain death to protect their country say troll somewhere else.
ОтветитьWaouh qu'elle expérience ;-) quel vécu ;-) Bravo
ОтветитьExcellent!
Now a boat tour please!
why don't they teach about privateers in school?
ОтветитьWow, a proud ship & brave sailors. The Lynx keep the best american navy traditions. Congrats & thank you for the video
ОтветитьToday's vessels are not ships. These things are the real ships ,what a ship really means
