The quickest way to revive Irish is to speak to children from nursery to end of school in Irish.
All subjects taught in the Irish language.
To learn English as a subject, as English is widely spoken they will easily pick it up also.
Also, they will be more motivated to learn English as it is widely used as international business/travel language.
Look at the Scandinavians, they speak good English at the end of school education.
Children learn by comprehensible input, it is the only way to really learn well.
Ireland really need to step it up and revive the Irish language.
I'm learning Irish from scratch and rewatching this video every once in a while. Every time I rewatch it I can understand a few more words than before :) Still a long way to go but I'm happy to see the progress
ОтветитьЭто выглядит как команда КВН.....
ОтветитьHow do you say ice cream? Cuz I heard ‘cucaracha’ 🪳 .
ОтветитьMy irish dad found this very funny
ОтветитьThis also basically sums up the average French education in Canada
ОтветитьMade me laugh outloud😂😂😂 Wales Britain
ОтветитьIontach. Go raibh maith agat.
Ответить"is maith leat an uachtar reoite?" love that so much haha
ОтветитьThis reminds me of Duolingo 😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьI am learning Irish with Duolingo. I can only say Dia duit. Tae, le do thoil. Go rebh maith agat. Slán.
In other words, not a whole lot. But at least I can politely ask for tea.
It is funny , but it is sad too. We had something similar in Ukraine, when Russian was a total spread, especially in big cities in the USSR time. But the situation is much better now, however we have to fight for our language now.
ОтветитьWhen I came to the U.S. I expected everyone with a Spanish last name to speak Spanish. The truth was quickly reveal to me, and up to this day I am very disappointed.
Ответитьthey look like hobbits 😶
ОтветитьDia Dhuit!
ОтветитьI know so little Spanish, but I could have asked all of those questions. But I would have understood none of the answers. 'De donde la drogas?'
ОтветитьBrilliant! I don't think we get this in England.
ОтветитьThis is like when you have an Asian-American on your team, and you send them to talk to the native Asian.
Ответитьjust watch "no bearla"
ОтветитьGrowing up in the northeast of England, we would call a Jersey a "gansey" I had no idea it was Gaelic until today.
ОтветитьUs in New Zealand with Māori 😂🤣
ОтветитьFrom 4 Eurovisions in Ireland i know much more Irish than he does
ОтветитьHILARIOUS! Great job boys 😂
ОтветитьThat actually sounds like Dublin Irish, lol
ОтветитьLol
ОтветитьSimply brilliant
ОтветитьEven the Irish themselves hate learning Irish 😂 most boring subject and language ever
ОтветитьIt's literally the same in Wales tho, 13 years of learning Welsh and all you can do is talk about what you did on the weekend 😅
ОтветитьSo...........when are you coming to Toronto? Lots of Irish (and other) people here.
ОтветитьSo how come the suspect only speaks fluent Gaelic and the detective is rusty on it?
ОтветитьTHIS is the reason I tell everyone I can't speak Spanish, even though I spent 5 years studying it and can understand most of it when I read it. But, I'd get lost and act similar to this sketch if I had to have a conversation in it.
ОтветитьThis is hilarious for those who speak Irish and for the rest of us, who only know how to say Slainte, thank God for subtitles.
ОтветитьI don't believe there's such a thing as a person who speaks Gaelic natively.
ОтветитьCan't remember the last time I laughed so hard
Ответить😂
ОтветитьIt's funny how I was taught Irish for 15 years and can't speak a word of it yet I lived in Venezuela for two years and I'm fluent in Spanish. Go figure.
ОтветитьI can't get enough of that video 😀. I am a French teacher of English as a second language and often show it to my students. They love it too 🙂
ОтветитьI can only speak for myself but I think the girls want more handsome men speaking Irish
Ответитьwait what language do Irish people speak then?
ОтветитьGuys, I laugh every time I watch this, and this is like 100 time I do :)) 🤣🤣 We moved to Ireland and naturally neither me nor the kids (6th class, twins) speak Irish (like, AT ALL, unfortunately), but we found out that we've not fallen too far behind from their class!! 😅 Such a relief!.. 🤣
ОтветитьLe magnètophon de Marcel ne marche PAS!!
ОтветитьExact same skit could be made: American cop brings canadian co-workers to interrogate Québecois suspect who only speaks French. Of course all non-Québécois Canadians learn french in school right... Well most of us speak French at the level this guy speaks Irish
ОтветитьWow it’s not actually black and white like it is in the gif…
ОтветитьAbsolutely love love this one!
ОтветитьThis is me speaking French as an American 😂😂😂
ОтветитьYears later, it still cracks me up every time when he starts listing the days of the week and has to give up after Wednesday 😂
ОтветитьSame with Welsh classes
ОтветитьI have a question, is it actually possible to find nowadays a person, raised in Ireland, who doesn't speak english?
ОтветитьThis was absolutely hilarious 🤣🤣🤣 Thank you guys, I needed a good laugh 🙏
