its a very different Luigi but it's still irrefutably Luigi

my only real issue is that you can hear his american accent seeping in really hard for some lines, whereas charles' one sounds nothing like his normal accent

When will we get to know more about Kevin Afghani? I would not like it if he is reclusive as it wouldn’t be right for him to be that way considering how public and nice of a guy Charles Martinet is. Well I have sent him an email politely asking him to please tell me more about himself by telling me anything he is comfortable with sharing about himself as well as asking him some questions (20 in total admittedly) such as if he ever met Charles Martinet and if he is a fan of any other video games franchises other then the Mario series. (From what little we know about him at the current time we do know he is a fan of the Mario series) I often have bad luck getting any Mario voice actor to respond to me (Scott Burns being the only exception) but maybe I will get lucky as I just want to do a sort of interview with him so that we know what he is like as a person.

I honestly feel like the NSMB voice clips are the worst way to compare Charles to Kevin, idk what kinda filtering they did to the voice clips in those games but they came out sounding like Charles recorded them in a closet😭😭😭

if they're gonna have the new voice actor do the exact same lines as Charles did, why couldn't they just reuse the old lines and call it a day?

Yeah this was a good change. The newer actor gives way more purpose in each voice line.

Yeah I think it's pretty clear that Mario, Luigi and Wario all sound "younger" with Kevin voicing them now.
But otherwise, pretty good.

Kevin will find the right way to voices over time.

luigi definitely sounds younger with the new voice actor. its not bad, but its more noticeable with luigi than it is with mario.

I don't hear any difference between Charles' Luigi voice nor Kevin's Luigi voice, so Kevin's voice for Luigi is pretty much spot on.

His Luigi voice is much different than Charles' but that's not necessarily bad or anything, Luigi's voice has changed a lot as Charles has gotten older. Sounds like some of Charles' early renditions of Luigi.

Kevin's Luigi voice sounds IDENTICAL to Charles's. He definitely does a better job at matching Luigi's OG voice than Mario's.

His Mario voice is pretty spot on, but his Luigi voice is noticeably different. I wonder if that was Nintendo's intention to give Luigi a noticeably different voice from Mario.
It's still good, but obviously a lot different from what Luigi has been.

Kevin is doing good so far, but I still miss Charles.

Kevin's voices for the characters sound so much more youthful and lively, but maybe that's because he's 42 years younger than Charles Martinet

Hot take here but I honestly think kevin’s luigi voice sounds slightly better, Charles is still amazing and he did create the voice but Kevin’s luigi just makes him sound more like a little brother which to me sound more appealing
