Try using some waxed paper for that rough zipper. I rub it across the teeth several times and it usually helps greatly.

Back in the days regular stores made quality clothing and accessories from bag to shoes with good leather seamless stitch for a normal price , so designers then has to put twice as much effort to produce an item for the price they are changing.

But now it's the total opposite regular stores are made of cheap fabric bad stitches and some design brand put little effort into their craftsmanship because luxury is accessible and people pay for the label than the product.

I love the Valentino bags! I actually don’t find that style dated at all even though it did come out a while ago. I still see them around and never think that about them.

What a pity you didn't get on with mini Jodie. I got mine in the first batch (2020?) and the zipper is absolutely fine. I find it worth every penny of the original price. It's a regular dinner bag for me and holds more than enough. I've even worn it sightseeing around Prague, just because I felt like holding it and looking at it 😂. I got it before any of the price increases and the leather, craftsmanship and quality are top. Each to our own!

Perhaps the Chanel prices will drop now that there's not going to be Russian oligarchs around to buy them!

Keep sending the message out LOUD and CLEAR and often! People need to know that quality on A Lot of things has really gone down hill and that we will not accept it. PERIOD!

It’s all too expensive for what it is. Chanel lately lines their bags with polyester….it used to be leather and the price is higher??!

I am sorry but it is really pathetic to see an inteligent person spending so much time on analyzing the change of the logo. The belt looks outdated, really? And that is the end of the world.

I find it unacceptable is that for a bag so expensive, the hardware gets damaged by itself and so easily? That would really annoy me.

Valetino rockstud bag is trendy bag for me. It won’t hold their value but if you don’t care about resale value and you are in love with it and want to keep it forever it is fine.

So true. When they change their logos, it puts me off. Burberry changed its logo and stopped buying their bags. The new logo isn’t pretty at all.

Hi. I’ve never seen you recommend the Fendi peekaboo. I’ve had my eyes on it for a long time. Chanel is so expensive now so I’ve stopped saving for it. Would you recommend fendi peekaboo ?

I think the reason Valentino dates so quickly is because of the rock stud shoes. The shoes utilized the same stud design, and since those are off trend at the moment, and are so associated with a certain moment, the bags also feel dated. But trends always come back—and studs especially will definitely be back! I actually quite like the Roman stud design now—especially in monochromatic color ways. But, for the price, it is hard to completely get behind them, since that chance is always there haha.

I personally am no big fan of Logo changes. I just think it decreases the worth because when you don't keep track of all the versions you might think a piece is a fake just because the logo is outdated. My favorite brand still is ysl and one point is that they don't change their logo like every season.

I totally agree with you about the first bag from LV, the hardware scratches really ruins the look of the bag... Sadly the same issue applies to Dauphine :/

I love your videos. You’re one of my favorites. A couple things regarding this video:

1. Bottega is hideous. All Bottega. I just don’t understand the appeal.

2. Let’s be real, all of our designer/luxury handbags are not nearly worth the price we pay. I have two Coach bags, and their quality, build and materials are better than my LV’s. I have two fake Dior bags - Medium Book Tote and Medium D-Lite. They are my only fakes and they look more expensive and more beautiful than any of my authentic luxury bags. Maybe that says more about Dior vs LV, Burberry, YSL and Balmain (my other luxury bags) than about fake vs real, but it’s insane that my $348 fake Book Tote looks like it has superior craftsmanship, looks more luxurious, and looks much more expensive than my authentic LV ONTHEGO GM.

I get what you mean about the Valentino, I think. what happened with it is what is going to happen with Bottega too. They created pieces that went from an 'it' piece to 'iconic/classic' but still trendy and stayed at peak popularity for a decent amount of time but I feel like once the next generation comes, those pieces start becoming dated. Do you get what I mean?

Sophie that Valentino is beautiful. People do like different things for different reasons. I like the Chanel reissue specifically because of the chain and lack of those CC. The structure shape of that Valentino is classic- consider having that top handle carefully removed ( I personally like it) and see if you like it. The metallic is beautiful - btw I’m loving those vintage bags you have been acquiring😊

100% on Valentino. They dominate trends from time to time but their designs have zero longevity. It’s actually that way with most brands, so if you’re not into buying and selling constantly, these brands are to be avoided. Edit: and that LV bag loosing its shape is so annoying. The same happens with the beautiful capucine, which is why I would never buy it. LV needs to use tougher leather for these structured bags. Certain styles depend on a rigid structure to look good and according to that you have to choose the leather. No clue why LV doesn’t pay attention to that. Fendi (peekabo) is just as guilty of that.

ive had my share of i love the way it looks but is an impractical annoyance to use. I finally got rid of them. It hurts to think.of the money wasted, but it's not doing me any favors sitting on the shelf.

the silver valentino is super gorgeous imo!!!!! I love it! I think it'd suit maxi dresses very well. I wear hijab (muslim) and feel like a lot of bags that suit maxi dresses/long silhouettes might not work with other outfits. Something about needing a big wash of colour to support a bag that would be weirdly distracting in a different silhouette of clothing.

i love this video! and youre right that you love something for the aesthetics until you buy it and you realize its not all that jazz. Before i got into luxury brands i was shopping more from coach, rebecca minkoff, sometimes michael kors and i wont lie i found that some of these brands use better materials can sometimes be of better quality than a luxury brand. When i bought my speedy 35 i got it used for $500 and i love it but i would absolutely not pay MSRP for it since then i have boughted Valentino, Gucci, Alexander Mcqueen and Louboutin and some pieces i prefer to buy used especially at LV's price point now
