After my kitchen is painted I am putting up lights... you have inspired me to stretch and bring in more happy.
ОтветитьThat’s the most beautiful northern lights I’ve ever seen! I’m a night owl I would love polar nights❤❤
ОтветитьThose Northern lights are so beautiful and magical, I can see myself living there and loving it. I am kind of an introvert so hunkering down a bit with the cozy lights. etc. would be really nice. The quiet 😊
ОтветитьSome people wake in the middle of the night and don’t return to sleep very well. If that’s the case, consider sleep compression therapy. Sleep compression is a method of behavior modification for insomnia that includes the gradual, step-wise reduction of time in bed until the target total sleep time is reached. I did it and it worked really well.
It’s really easy to do.
So glad I found your vlogs! So amazing to see😊
ОтветитьWhat is your porridge made from again? Thanks.
ОтветитьHygge has become almost a fad where I live..So Calif.Gets dark at 5 pm, daylight at 6 am. But the idea of cozy is wonderful…love your videos and all of the decorating
ОтветитьBinge watching your videos. ❤it. Thank you for sharing your magical home with us❤
ОтветитьI'm curious as to why Cecilia says she lives ON Svalbard and not in Svalbard, which is what I would use! I live in Mallorca, I live in Hawaii, I live in Sri Lanka, etc. In German you would say ON (auf) if it's an island so I'm guessing it's some sort of Germanic language influence.
ОтветитьI really enjoyed this post. Great advice.
ОтветитьIs he seriously putting his baby in the toilet to bathe?
SMH
So happy I found ur videos. They are so relaxing.’
ОтветитьCould I find a job in there ?
ОтветитьLived in Alaska for five years I found the perpetual darkness in Winter soothing.
ОтветитьI don’t think I’d survive this ,,, without a partner , dog, music , dancing Swimming and work ‘
ОтветитьU live in russia.
ОтветитьI grew up in Alaska, and personally for me, the long winters and lack of light always affected me, even with taking vitamin D all year, and trying so many different things with my doctor and therapist. I am not sure why I could never get anything to work for me, I don't live there anymore. And where I was we didn't even get the full polar nights like in the most northern areas. Maybe part of it was living in Anchorage, there was enough city lights that you could really never see the stars.
ОтветитьNot a life for me but thanks for sharing :)
ОтветитьCould not live there hate the dark only at night bright and sunny days for me.
Ответитьi dont think i could hang
ОтветитьD3 with VIT K.
ОтветитьDoesn’t this affect ur circadian rhythm?
ОтветитьI and my husband would love polar nights. We love the dark. I would think its very cozy, warm inside and cold outside and a different type of beautiful world.
ОтветитьYou should never explain why you’re wearing makeup. NEVER EVER…… I love that you love this part of the world. Take care love.
ОтветитьTime stands still there it seems!! And After my career is now done, thats what im looking for !! your happiness is contagious!
ОтветитьOml I wish I could live near the arctic it looks so pretty
Ответитьthis is so interesting to hear, but can'r myself from wondering how hight the electricity bill would be :P
ОтветитьIt’s nice to know there are people in this world who appreciate the tiniest things. Sometimes I feel crazy for tearing up when I see the night sky. So glad I stumbled upon your channel. Keep doing what you’re doing — it’s really special🤍
ОтветитьMy kind of place
ОтветитьI would love to stay there in polar nights ❤
ОтветитьIn the beginning I think I'd want to stay in bed all day, lol, but the transition periods might help that.
ОтветитьI’m a summer boy but I like your videos despite the cold 🥶 lol
ОтветитьHere’s another “Really Good Tip” Get a gun!!!
ОтветитьDo you have neighbors up there???
ОтветитьWow! Long Islander here… It’s midnight here… I must say, I’d be afraid what would happen to me if I lived there! “Here’s Johnny”
ОтветитьThank you for the tip of getting a sun-rise alarm clock! I just purchased one on Amazon and will bring it when I come to Longyearbyen
ОтветитьSuch great advice, even for us that do have daylight in winter but have very early darkness, snow and cold. Thank you 🇨🇦
ОтветитьI would love to have it dark around the clock for a few months. I can't stand daylight savings time. And I seem to be so much calmer when it's dark.
ОтветитьI grew up in Maine. We went to school in the dark and came home in the dark, and we often got snowed in... and it was often too cold for school. I grew up loathing it and moved to Florida a lifetime ago. I love the heat and the storms and gardening year around.
ОтветитьWould love to experience continuous day and night each for 1 week and then jet back to my regular rhythm of 12 hours of day and night along the equator! 3 months of darkest would kill me!
ОтветитьSuch a cosy video! Thank you for sharing, exactly what I needed today. (I know I'm behind haha)
ОтветитьWell I don't live near the North Pole, but I do think those were good tips! I am definitely going to keep those in mind this winter, because I do struggle with my mental health and the autumn and winter months do not help. And because I have Lyme Disease and SpondyloArthritis(Bechterev's Disease), the cold and wet weather makes my body ache so so much. BUT I am going to try to stay positive and try to go on more walks, even when it is dark and cold outside! I can do that! Thank you for inspiring me, Cecilia, you have no idea how much your videos already meant to me!
ОтветитьI've always kind of liked the night. I mean, sure the dark felt scarier when I was a kid, but when I got over that the darkness felt more like a blanket. Kind of like when it snows and everything is blanketed in whiteness and the sound feels different. If there were an urban center living in polar night I'd also imagine future bass, glow sticks, and neon lights everywhere. Kind of like the night festivals I used to go to when I was younger. ALL the interesting people and music came out at night. It was such a trippy and memorable part of my younger adulthood.
ОтветитьIt'so interesting to live without daylight. But to my mind, I'll die in the first week without the Sun 😄
ОтветитьI live in WI USA and talk to people all over the states every day. When they knock our “can be extreme weather” I just let them at this point. I love our state and it’s extremes and I’m happy with there being less populated areas. I feel like I could adapt to your climate and feel very drawn to it. Absolutely stunning was just looking at polar permaculture at work as I’m a gardener and that’s going with me whoever I go 🙂🌱💚
ОтветитьSince I absolutely LOVE the universe, I would do ANYTHING to witness that. I really wish I was born there 😔😔
ОтветитьI've always been fascinated by cold/snowy dark climates. She's so fortunate to be able to live there. The majority of people want to live in places with warm sunny weather near the beach. I'm the complete opposite. A log cabin with a nice fire going with a couple feet of snow outside on the ground to me would be heaven 👌
ОтветитьJust found your channel.i van relate..in ND gets very cold too im sure not quite what you get but wind an -60 are very real here.
ОтветитьVery beautiful, but the only thing on my mind is the movie “30 days of night”
ОтветитьThank you so much for your perspectives, Cecilia, especially the living in an astronomical bubble. And the Northern Lights and lunar footage. Just beautiful! Namaste'. <3 :-)
