Just came back from a vacation there. Great resort very high quality!

Da will jemand noch mehr in eines der am meisten umweltzerstörenden Skigebiete locken. Die Einstellungen der Verantwortlichen wurden besonders sichtbar als man in Ischgl am Anfang der Pandemie nicht einmal bereit war, aufgrund der hohen Infektionszahlen in dem Ort auf ein Wochenende Skibetrieb zu verzichten: Man verschwieg einfach gegenüber den erwarteten Gästen das überaus hohe Risiko im Ort. Samnaun wurde nur deshalb weniger betroffen, da es keinen derart exzessiven Partybetrieb gibt. Als das Ausmaß der durch die Vorgehensweise in Ischgl verursachten Infektionszahlen bekannt wurde, versuchten sich einfach einige der Verantwortlichen durch krumme Lügen aus der Affäre zu ziehen. Man behauptete beispielsweise, dass die isländischen Skitouristen sich erst im Rückflug infiziert hätten.

Die Natur in den Bergen besonders im Skigebiet Ischgl ist heute leider schon ziemlich zerstört. Man kann übertrieben sagen, dass die Gegend pistentauglich zwar nicht flach gewalzt, aber skitauglich verändert wurde.

Sollten sich potentielle Besucher nicht überlegen, ob sie der Umweltzerstörung durch ihren Skiaufenthalt weiter Vorschub leisten wollen?

Someone wants to lure even more people in one of the most environmentally destructive ski areas. The attitudes of the most responsibles became visible in Ischgl at the beginning of the pandemia. They were not even read to forego a weekend of skiing due to the high number of infections in the village: The extremely high risk in the village was simply concealed from the expected guests.

Samnaun was less affected because there is no such excessive partying. When the extent of the number of infections caused by the procedure in Ischgl became known, some of those responsible simply tried to pull themselves out of the affair with crooked lies. For example, it was claimed that Icelandic ski tourists only became infected during their return flight.

Unfortunately, the nature in the mountains, especially in the Ischgl ski area, today is pretty much destroyed. It's an exaggeration to say that the area has been flattened. Slopes need inclination. But the landscape has been changed to make it suitable for skiing.

Shouldn't potential visitors consider whether they want to promote the further destruction of the environment through their ski-holidays?

I know my wife and I skied there 20 years ago and I only remember bits and pieces of it. But I have to say, I'm impressed with the quality of the resort. If we didn't have a chalet in Les Portes, I think my wife might actually prefer it. (Except she doesn't speak any German). But I do! And I like bratwurst mit curry a lot!

Video is stable - thats good. Stance is a bit flegmatic: hands always down. Sorry ;-) But it just catches the eye. And just one more thing I would improve: try to hold it a bit longer, when you a reversing - to get a glimpse of the track and the view. Thanks.

Izhgl / Samnau and three more places, if I know correctly, the only ski resort in Europe that is completely managed by one company. All under one command. Pists, cable cars, service on the mountain and service in the towns (parking, transfers and much more). Everything works as one. It is very convenient.

why is track 15 red when there is hardly any slope? or because of the risk of slipping out?

how did you add the telemetry (elevation, speed, heading, etc)? it doesn't look like the normal gopro one

I skied here ages ago, we did a day there when staying in Fiss, I had a hire car so was a nice day out. Really enjoyed the skiing and somewhere I need to go back to. Thanks for the video nicely done.

Ich konnte nach Samnaun zur Talstation Abfahrten das war 1999

I like Ischgl/Samnaun for the following reasons
(1) The link between Switzerland and Austria is a double decker cable car. This is very rare in the Alps.
(2) Not many resorts one can ski two countries at the same time. Others famous ones include La Thuile/La Rosiere, Porte de Soleil, Zermatt/Cervinia and Via Lattea
(3) Ischgl is as upmarket as St Anton/Lech. Snow condition is similar and close each other on either of the Austria motorway.
(4) Ischgl is famous of its mountain top concerts so the restaurant setting there is one of the best in term of food, cleanliness, facilities and decoration.

Es wird immer weniger Schnee sogar dort oben. Ich kenn das Skigebiet sehr gut als noch meterhoch schnee lag(vor 30 Jahren). Aber für Skilift bezahlen und lange anstehen 😂 wenn’s ein kite gibt der dich gemütlich einen einsamen Berg hinaufzieht um dann eine traumhafte Abfahrt zu genießen, schont auch Natur und Umwelt
