I didnt update yet. so you could make surround mix out of six tracks and then pan them individually in space like you show in the video - all in fcpx?

Love these clips and buy all their training. But I think the moving bg keyed in is very distracting.

There is any update on the Adjustment Layer method with the Motion way
on Fcpx 10.3? Great video guys! Thanks for sharing your knowledge!

Are you freakin kidding me. This looks like I can re-edit the audio for Surround sound. I'm new to Final cut but; learning new stuff.

I used to do this all the time in pre-10.3. You have to select the 5.1 clip and then choose "break apart clip items" not once but twice. You could compound them after that if you wanted but I've done several mixes that way. This saves a step or two.

That's funny: I tripped over that while using a FabFilter Pro-L limiter on a music track I made for a teaser video. I thought "oh, this is pretty nice and straightforward" when I muted the audio from the video clips and setup the limiter for the stereo WAV clip.

So if I just want to apply an EQ to a voiceover track (which is usually dual mono), I should just apply it at the clip level so it's applies to both components? Or apply it to one component and copy/paste to the other? I'm a bit confused.

Excellent info as usual. Each FCPX version brings more edit happiness and more reasons to stay. Although in my workflow don't have much of audio manipulation and mixing, I'm happy we have now a new and more powerful way to do so, if the occasion rises.
