Can you tell me what I am doing wrong? Every time I highlight, place the cursor behind the line of text, or press the ctrl+shift+8 it continues to place a point at the top of my paper. it does not make the list pointed. Just the top line

aaah was after an explanation as to why my Google doc alternates between bullet points that are empty circles and ones that are black. My doc seems to randomly switch between the two. Appreciate your effort , but not much use.

To add sub-bullets: put the cursor at the start of the bullet you want to turn into a sub-bullet, and hit tab/indent

When I press the bullet button, the entire document fills with bullets along all the headers and whatnot.  I just want a bullet to appear in a simple list of 4 items in the middle of my document.

I was wondering how to add bullets when making a horizontal list.
