Good job makar😅
ОтветитьOrr did everything you laud Makar for but in an era where players literally tried to hurt other players. In this era where you can hardly touch other players, Orr would have obliterated Makar's stats.
Makar isn't changing anything.
At 22 years old, Bobby Orr scored 120 points and won the Hart, Art Ross, Conn Smythe as well as his 3rd of 8 consecutive NorrisTrophies. Nobody changed the way defensemen play the game of hockey the way he did. It was stunning to watch.
ОтветитьI love watching Makar play the game
ОтветитьDahlin is better
ОтветитьBobby Orr, was doing the same thing back in the 60's in skates that were made in the 60's.
ОтветитьNever best defencemen ever but best since #4
ОтветитьDo a video to highlight players who care about their +/-.
No young player should try to have a 100 point season as a dman and be -25.
Cal Makar if you Put the hockey 🏒 iQ along with his Elite Skating he a phenomenal Vision to maneuver what would normally be Checks ran into the boards?" When you whip together his hands and scoring finese at full speed Cal Makar is the Elite Conversation RASMUS DAhlin! Victor hedmans! " cal makar could be a few more steps ahead of NHL! CAL MAKAR HAS PLENTY of more championships to be one even if he's not Playing in a Colorado avalanche jersey in the future?
ОтветитьAs a defenseman Makar and Erik Johnson are some of my greatest idols, I’ve been replicating their game + adding in my own strengths to it and it works amazingly. I’ve always been proud of my footwork and then when i started trying to replicate Makar it just made it better
Ответитьhe's all ready the best defender
ОтветитьDoesn't mention Letang
ОтветитьHe’s dirty player , make bad hit. Cheap shot. No good
ОтветитьAll hail Cale! #8 is a bad boy that's for sure
ОтветитьI have been watching hockey for almost 50 years and Erik Karlsson is the best I have ever seen offensively. I saw Orr play as well but I was too young to remember and understand the game then to judge. Makar is good but lets relook at this grand statement in 5 years or so. Stuff happens. Just ask King K….
ОтветитьCompletely agree that Maker is changing his position and the game. As a Sabres fan, I was mildly bummed to not hear Dahlin's name mentioned, as he is doing his own version of this in Buffalo. He's perfected some of the most beautiful, breakaway-generating passes in hockey: the "home run pass" - the flip over the heads of the D-men, the "through-ball pass" - chipping the puck between the D-men to open space, and (my favorite) the "icing pass" - firing the puck the length of the ice, off the corner/end boards to pop out for a streaking forward who negates the icing and gets a breakaway in the bargain.
I know Buffalo hasn't exactly been known for exciting hockey in a long time, but keep an eye out, because Tuch, Tage, Skinner, Cozens, and Dahlin are capable of putting on a show, and I think we're gonna see the same from Krebs, Quinn, Peterka, and Power next year. (Not to mention a prospect pool that's the envy of just about every GM in the league.) And if Devon Levi lives up to the hype, the rest of the league should look out...
Makar is a champion that does what it takes to win
ОтветитьSuch a special player. I'd love to see him and McDavid at the Olympics one day.
ОтветитьI guess that Lane Hutson will become a Mekar type of player.
ОтветитьVancouver is working hard to take laughing stock title away
ОтветитьIt’s like this guy never saw Leetch play (in the trap era no less).
ОтветитьNo Robert Bobby Orr was/is the best ever. Sorry no disrespect to anyone
ОтветитьYou sound like a teenager... He is changing the game because he is a freak and is that good, about it. Can sum it up by saying that, not making a video to be analyzed like he is doing something systematically? No, he's just freak with the puck and without. The best NHL defencemen simply could be middle tier wingers...bout it.
ОтветитьHe reminds me a little of the GREAT BOBBY ORR. Orr could go from 0 to 60 in seconds noo one could touch him! Watch the Orr films!
ОтветитьI'm retiring next month. And I'm a bit nervous about how to keep up with my kids.
ОтветитьHe’s almost Bobby Orr. Bobby could fight pretty damn well. He also won a scoring title. Cale may have a chance on the scoring title one day
Ответитьfox better this year
ОтветитьDahlin is better tho
ОтветитьNever trust people who smile constantly. They’re either selling something or not very bright.
ОтветитьGoated video for a goated player
ОтветитьALL HAIL CALE!
ОтветитьCale makar is my dad 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹
ОтветитьLane Hutson
ОтветитьGreat video!!!
ОтветитьThere's 1 Dman that used to skate his way out of forecheck like Makar and it's Subban. But then something changed him.
ОтветитьMaybe he will
Ответитьyes best of all time !!
ОтветитьHe can skate very fast SIDEWAYS wit The Puck ! ! ! Awesome! ! !

Covered dkeces nibes
ОтветитьMiro Heiskenen is another good D man. He has been said to have a style similar to lidstroms.
ОтветитьKids skating ability is mind blowing as a lifelong D man I can appreciate this kids work ethic
ОтветитьLmao how this D man is changing hockey: is just a 4th F
ОтветитьI have not seen a defenseman that had me this excited for their career since Ray Bourque was a kid (I was late to the Lidstrom party). I don't think Makar will be the best ever, but I would say his ceiling is top 5. The NHL is hard though and a lot of young promising guys have had injuries and other things cut short their potential. Still, I wish Makar played for my team.
ОтветитьThis is crazy, he doing what many have done before him, only those guys didn’t play with the rules they have today, no clutching no grabbing etc. Yes, he’s good but don’t make him out to be the greatest ever, the game changer like no one else, not yet anyway. Jeez.
ОтветитьMakar just set the record for a defensemen to amass 200 career points. It took him only 195 games. As a point of reference, this is how long it took these hall of famers to reach 200 points - Sergei Zubov (207), Brian Leetch (211), Phil Housley (212), Dennis Potvin (212), Mark Howe (216), Bobby Orr (216), Paul Coffey (221), Ray Borque (226).
ОтветитьYes
ОтветитьOrr will always be the best. Makar is a great player but….
ОтветитьB Orr #4
ОтветитьSo you mean how Larry Robinson used to play? It's not really new.
