Hi. Have you noticed that dualsense edge face buttons( x, triangle, square and circle) are way more loose than normal dualsense buttons. I bought mine yesterday and noticed that especially the x button is so loose and mushy. Googled this and this is a problem alot of people have
ОтветитьUseless controller , should’ve gone with 4 back paddles
ОтветитьYeahhhh..but NOBODY wants xboxs. They THEMSELVES have saidbthe lost the XBOX VS PS battle. 😅 whooomp whooooooomp...! Xbox always sucked. They ONLY good game they had was HALO.
ОтветитьMost people don’t use 4 paddles in the back. I actually do, extensively. The fact that it only has 2 is a complete deal breaker to me. They should be embarrassed not to have made it a 4 paddle controller at that price. Ridiculous, really.
ОтветитьThe plastic cover that covers the stick modules is hideous esp for a 200$ controller
ОтветитьBest $200 controller I bought this year for 2023
ОтветитьjOY pAd 🥴
Ответитьi'll give you my feedback and it has the best deadzone input close to ZERO in Warzone 👍👍👍
ОтветитьThis is so stupid, Sony make an expensive controller with a trash battery life…no thanks. My Elite series 2 battery lasts like forever, ill just stick with my regular edge.
ОтветитьHonestly, I just want the back buttons on my standard DualSense without paying $200.
ОтветитьGreat review mate. Ty.
Ответитьstick drift isnt an issue anymore
2 analogs are £40 which is STILL £30 cheaper than a new controller so with the £200 price tag its worth getting the edge so u dont have to buy a new controller every few months
instead of making the sticks changable they should have used the magnet technology from 20 years ago that sega used in their controllers. so that the sticks could stay fixed and made the L1,L2, R1,R2 changable, and that we could change between regular L and R buttons for racing games and can change to micro triggers for shooters...
Ответить200 dollars it better be PS6 comparable lol
ОтветитьI disagree, the new COD actually makes really good use of the triggers
ОтветитьAll current Playstation controllers have more features than Xbox controllers. That's from a pc gamer. Xbox needs to add modern features to their basic controller like gyroscope, and grip buttons.
ОтветитьWell, nice review and all, but not a single word about Sony delivering the same miserable D-PAD for the premium price for their 'premium' product....
ОтветитьI wish they'd let you manually set the analogue stick sensitivity/deadzone on the regular dualsense as well with the app. It'd be a nice bandaid fix for the stick drift problem.
ОтветитьLol 200$ and is has 2/3 batter life and only 2 back triggers. The scuf controllers are better but I wish you didn't have to choose between clicky or adaptive triggers on the scuff. Ideally it would have both options in one, 4 back triggers, and way way better battery life. Wireless edge is overpriced by like 80$
ОтветитьYou can get it for about £140 now if you shop creatively with deals and offers, so it’s not too bad. I certainly wouldn’t pay £210.
ОтветитьThe only problem with this controller is the fact that you can program two buttons to one of the back buttons
you cannot program say crouch and aim in call of duty or any other game.
No macros in fact when you program a button to the back buttons , The button the front of the controller no longer functions at all
Base controller + 2 replacement buttons = 3.5 regular controllers.
I doubt this is a good investment.
TL;DR It's $200 for two back buttons.
ОтветитьI bought the Xbox elite 2 controller, it’s the best… but the joystick click died on me 2 months in. Being a long time PS player, the joysticks are always the first to go. This is the solution.
ОтветитьIt's an upgrade on the original .. but I still prefer the Elite .
ОтветитьI love the triggers in call of duty
ОтветитьNone of those could be replaced with new sticks when stick drift happens
ОтветитьThis is to expensive for a controller with a midget battery and no options to upgrade to a better batter. I already have 2 regular controller that they die between 5 to 20 minutes and they always fully charged. Plus no magnetic sticks lol common sony is a big company and they could added that feature but i guess they just want to milk us for more money. This controller is just not worth my money
ОтветитьHonestly I probably should use the back paddles for things like Souls games etc, but I've just gotten so used to doing "the claw" that it feels natural to me lol
ОтветитьI wonder if it's possible to adjust the analog stick dead zone to be lower/smaller, not larger. It's already too large in many games which do not offer an option to adjust it. So large that many games are a straight up pain to play. If it was possible to alleviate this issue that would be a huge selling point of the Edge for me.
ОтветитьPretty expensive for changeable sticks. Since realistically thats all youre paying for over say, even xtreme rate. Plus losing the compatability with pc, half battery life...what were they thinking.
My cousins game shop has one of these, was gonna pick it up, but, i think I'll save 180 dollars and grab a console customs board and just install that like i did with all my ps4 controllers.
Adaptive triggers gone when you use controller with triggers stop
ОтветитьWhat a disaster
ОтветитьAbsurd price. I couldn't even sell my PS4 for $200.
ОтветитьI mostly game on the PC in the living room, using a Elite Series 2. I've always loved the Elite controllers, smooth as hell. I can't go back to the standard XBOX One or Core controller, it just feels like a toy by comparison (they're all toys, I get that). I just got a PS5 to Play Horizon Forbidden West (Loved the first one, second is starting off great). I had no idea how crazy the Duel Sense is. The rumble is something else, it's not rumble though.. But it's amazing. The triggers too. This thing is clearly where controllers are going and the soon Microsoft releases their version with these features, the sooner every game will start supporting them. And they should because it's god damn amazing!
ОтветитьReal price analysis for me: If I am replacing my left stick 3 times, then I spend $260. For similar money, I could buy 4 new DS controllers instead of the edge. Every time I would buy a new DS controller, the triggers, buttons, and finish are also brand new. Would the quality of the Edge really hold up that well in comparison to the lifetime that 4 DS controllers may have? I don't think so.
Ответить200 bucks and you get 4 hour battery life...is that a joke?
ОтветитьI didn’t like the ps5 controller my got tired very easy.
Xbox feels a lot more comfortable for long time gameplay periods
Wtf is Sony thinking, lesser battery life than the standard controller.
ОтветитьNo improvement on battery life? Wow. Won't buy.
ОтветитьI want locking charger , for my laptop & phone 📱
ОтветитьIf the battery life was better than the original ps5 controller I would have bought it.
ОтветитьI had this on pre-order until the moment I heard about the battery, I cancelled it immediately. Ill pick this up on a sale, or a V2 version if it comes out.
Ответитьto me, imo, I enjoy all features and all on this controller and price is enough and reasonable but the only gripe is hope for a DualSense Edge+ like with better battery life as this controller is not only a massive upgrade in customization for speedrunning (I been speedrunning since Gamecube days) and competitive gaming too. The battery life is what I wish was what be extended.
ОтветитьSony doesnt really have you covered with swappable joystick units. If they did, they would work to improve joystick design (which, let's be real, they have the resources to do) rather than monopolize the issue with replaceable joystick units at a premium.
Also this idea of a Sony brand (I'm gonna call it "Elite/Pro") controller has already been done years before by Xbox. So, they're super late to this party.😅
I still don't understand how consoles still don't have per game profiles like steam, rather than having only 3 universal profiles you can switch between. Anyway, doesn't really matter for me as I will be picking one up to use on steam, and valve has already added support for the new buttons.
ОтветитьThey should have just made a remix of the back buttons they had with the dualshock controller...
ОтветитьI ended up getting it from family and I had to give up my normal controller for it and they gave the the rest of the cash to get one
ОтветитьYou’re hella awesome Tom ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
ОтветитьThanks for the review but 8 have to say that for me at least, buying a Kong controller that has a magnetic joystick that not just provides more accuracy but also near no stick drift.
And it's only 60-70 dollars, yiu can buy one for 20 if it's used.
So I think this is definitely not the way to respond to stick drift, but ahhh I think it is a very smart way to gain money from child consumer's parents pocket.
Why pay 200$ for a controller with potential stick drift anytime, you just end up paying about another 200$ just trying to fix it every 6 month where the sticks drift again. This is ridiculous, older Xbox 360 and even the ps2 did not have any stick drift or even if they had it the controller fix it, but nowadays it's the complete opposite of what we gamers want.
