The retail therapy one was spot-on. A lot of pitfalls people fall into are the ideas pointing towards the fact that you have to fulfill a desire or reduce stress by buying things, and it's not true. I've been in numerous of instances where I thought I needed something, but in reality, I didn't need it. Corporations make everything convenient for the buyer so they feel the whole experience is the most convenient thing ever, and that is also something people need to look out for.

I worked in a warehouse up till 3 years ago. I stocked the shelves and as I did, the empty plastic bags really piled up. I decided to save this "trash" and take it home. 3 years later, I am still using up the last of this supply. I never buy garbage bags. Look up how much they cost. You buy a box of these bags, line you garbage container and fill it and throw it out. What you actually did... was pay for those bags... and throw them out. Why not just throw away your money? Because that is exactly what has transpired.
