What a blessing the life of this man was and still is for the world.

This makes me think of the Catholic Church where there are images of a MARY, the mother of Jesus; and the different “saints” people pray to, kneel before, and light candles and bring flowers to. How do we address this?

I was kind of disappointed that Keller did not address the idolatry connected with abortion in his list of idols. Of all New York and America's sins, this seems the most flagrant and heinous. A bit concerning, considering he emphasized the need to confront a culture's idols, that he did not confront the maybe the biggest one.

Good riddance to bad rubbish... soon these maniac Christians will impale anyone who doesn't agree with them... PS it was a Pentecostal demonologist like this who abused me sexually when I was 5 and the blathered all children are evil born. His wife was the real demon...she knew

I pray for his wife Cathy who had to see him in a coffin. may the Lord comfort her and their children.

This really changed things for me. No ones ever preached a sermon that's so practical and true to reality.

Any student of the scriptures knows that Moses Elijah , Jeremiah Ezekiel etc confronted Idols, among God's predestined people the nation of Israel , His First Born Son collectively in Exodus chapter 4v22, and individually His children in Isaiah chapter 1v2, and told them that they had retained the idols of Egypt after they had been redeemed by the Blood of the Lamb, and rescued from Pharaoh's power, but in this present dispensation, of God's Grace to the Gentiles, all the nations of the world, His message is for God so loved the World He gave His only Begotten Son to save them, all, and just the Serpent on the Pole was God means to save everyone in Israel who was poisoned with the serpents God sent to save those who had sinned against Him , so God sent His Son to save everyone in this world who had sinned against Him, and notice not to condemn the world , but to save the world

Tim Keller you are a messenger of Satan. You are a false teacher

We need our homes our spouses children I thank God our Christ for having enough Trying to work out what my idol is we need homes enough money but I know I would have to live without my husband ect but I have faith that I will find help from my Christ. But I know my life my self could be better I’m human

Why not get to the bottom of it.........Do Not Covit?

I don't like this talk about "exposing" and "destroying" idols. It once again show us the arrogance and disrespect by monotheism we were already familiar with. If people want to worship Artemis, Apollo or Zeus, let them. It's none of your business.

The Holy Spirit working through Tim Keller brings so much clarity and light. If I had this 30 years ago, I may have made less mistakes and lived in less confusion, and glorified my Lord further. Now we have this and we are redeemed.

That’s what we need to hear 👂 those that have ears let him hear wonderful preaching on idols which begins with ourselves Amen

The big idol of our culture is sexual freedom. Plus ca change.

Tim K's clear teaching on idolatry (and acting on it) is one key to personal growth and Christlikeness in the believer.

I love his manner of speaking. I love that he relies on his content and not his intonation and volume to influence. He is such a thoughtful and beautiful person.

We have made an idol of the concept of life, life apart from Jesus Christ who alone said, "I am life".
Look at how the world has dealt with 'the plague'. World leaders would rather shut down everything than risk one so-called 'life'.
The church has said it has as it's goal, 'preserving life' and to that end shutting down church services. Irony, anyone?

The Agora has the philosophy schools like Socrates school.

so multiple form of idolatry but i believe the ''modern'' pastor is also an idolatry but the worse hypocrite heresy it's the trinity of three distinct persons NEVER TEACHES.
