What research have you done?

Replace the Google dialer with any trusted dialer supported by your phone ex. Odialer. and you are done. It worked wonders for me. No need for so much of settings with T to S replacements.

In fact I was also able to export a backup file of my 5000+ contacts to my sd card as a bonus. This feature is also removed by Google dialer.

I just tried it now and it worked.
