ОтветитьBack in my "younger years", I kept my tower housed inside a microwave oven. I cut a hole through the rear so that cords could route without blocking the oven door. In a very simple and swift motion, I could slam the door and hit the "Popcorn" button. 1,000 watts of microwave energy at close range, guaranteed to clean magnetic storage hard drives.

Ответитьthis guy is such a snob
Ответитьdoes it wipe any windows system to please?
Ответитьwhat is a device that can help you fund deletes files??
ОтветитьDid it wipe the operating system as well?
ОтветитьThe funny thing is, now DBAN can also recognize and wipe ssd's. However, if you do use DBAN on an SSD, only do a single wipe or you might shorten the life span of your SSD. Besides, a single pass on an SSD should be enough anyway since it isn't magnetic media like a HDD.
ОтветитьMy pc has been running mega slow and the windows wipe doesn’t seem to do anything will this work for me?
ОтветитьDude that is just a Linux bootstick that executes "dd if=/dev/urandom of=/dev/sdX" after a 60 second timer, on a USB stick I can buy like that in bulk from Alibaba for 50ct a piece.
How much money were you scammed out of for this?

ОтветитьDban boot and nuke is the OG wiper
ОтветитьWhat I do with drives is just shred files with one of the many programs that have the option to, then use one of those testing programs (eg: h2testw) to write over a blank file until literally not a single empty byte remains, then that file gets auto-deleted. Takes a while, but guarantees that any data found by recovery options is going to be garbled up/corrupted. A lot of the time, the stuff found by recovery software are just leftovers of data from page files or indexes and whatnot that get misinterpreted, that's why even though it might say "good health" the file is broken.
Ответитьwould it be possible to do an update on this product during say wan or a short on if it is still a viable product???
Ответитьimma stick this into a 100 petabyte server at google and wipe the whole thing
ОтветитьWhy dont just dd if=/dev/sdb of=/dev/zeros on a linux os with the windows ssd mounted?
Ответитьapple has this too, i mean my imac from 2009 has it… you can choose a level of security when wiping or formatting a drive. also ssd’s

ОтветитьPlugs in usb on wall* FRIC!
Ответитьwet wipes for computers 😂😂😂
ОтветитьI wonder if Linus ever realized that you can use any Linux or BSD live system to do this, all it requires is the dd command. But hey, I guess owning a red key shaped non-UEFI bootable USB is good as well.
Also, it really can be seen that he does not understand tech in depth. The Windows recovery option did not delete the EFI data (and why should it, that is not the point, it is a different partition than the one C: is mapped to). The RedKey owerwrote that as well. Again, just like you can with dd, completely FOSS.
I know this was some time ago, but most bios' have a secure erase option now
ОтветитьWipe a redkey usb with a redkey usb
ОтветитьPretty sure this company went out of buiessness. Been sold out for over a year. No updates.

ОтветитьLinux dd command for zeroing the drive. sudo dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sda bs=1M status=progress try this and see if you can recover anything from drive sda?

ОтветитьMaybe I don't buy nomber 2 computer give my friend.
ОтветитьNah a actual memory wiper from men and black
That's dope
I've been using Simple Green and a washrag.
ОтветитьShredOS is also a really nice tool to whipe a SSD that should also do a fine job like the Redkey.
Edit: Plus you can boot from the USB, unplug it and us the same stick on another PC as the tool seemingly loads itself into RAM, so afterwards the USB is no longer required.
So the highest level of deletion on this thing is supposedly the highest you can get while keeping it usable. Just under degaussing and physical destruction.
