I'm 7 minutes into it and when she showed picking on the beginning, I''m surprised anchoring wasn't mentioned. And then in fretting she didn't talk about how to find the lightest pressure and still get a clear tone. Or about using just the top tip of the finger. Maybe that's covered in a different video but it's a shame these things weren't worth mentioning in this beginner video.
ОтветитьThank you for teaching us!
ОтветитьI got a guitar for my birthday over a year ago, was excited then I dropped it. Decided I wanna take it up and found you, I wish that was a year ago, I would be the new Jimmy Hendricks by now.
ОтветитьI love the way that you teach the guitar.
ОтветитьThis is very helpful
ОтветитьThis is awesome. Thanks
Ответитьthank you for this I usually make rap stuff but I'm working on an alt project and I really wanted to play guitar on it. these videos have been a big help so thanks :3
ОтветитьGreat lesson. Are you on Telegram? Someone on there with the name Lauren Bateman Official Account has contacted me and wants to send me a prize but I’m suspicious.
ОтветитьShouldn’t the first lesson be on how to tune a guitar?
ОтветитьAfter Gall bladder exploded, I had stepped away, but coming back to it I still find Lauren Bateman a necessity for a beginner, get seated get strumming down and up, and fret fingering both down and up, add a few chords. I may not be a Marathon runner, I am not taking a step and landing flat on my face either. I am trying to get my kid to grasp the techniques of LEARNING I am hoping well through doing it and Ms. Bateman`s Tutelage he finally sees. I can only continue, hope and I can express gratitude towards teachers like this.
ОтветитьCan I buy your video
ОтветитьVery good starter,thanks.
ОтветитьYou'r decendent of batman,
It got to be 1966
Great videos and very easy to follow especially for me an older beginner player . Thanks for a great lesson plan .
ОтветитьHi another question on the chords that you show. I take it the X is do not play that string but what are the black and blue circles on the top?
ОтветитьAs a total beginner, does your finger tips eventually harden up a bit or do you just eventually get used to it. I notice mine getting sore after a while but am sure its a buildup over time thing?
ОтветитьYeah I'm taking up guitar for basic learning love to follow..
Ответитьlove your videos
ОтветитьGreat lesson!🙏🏼💯👍🏼
ОтветитьJust been learning the guitar for 4 days from a book 30 minutes per day. I play the piano and saxophone. Your links in the description are very much appreciated.
Ответитьok I’m not sure if it comes up later but I’m already questioning why strumming only certain strings? How does one know which strings to strum depending on the cord? Forgive me if this questions come up before 🤔
ОтветитьMy guitar arrives in 3 days, I’m 56 and neurodivergent. You deliver this fabulously! With a limited income I am able to celebrate the fact I might actually learn something without the financial limitation ❤
ОтветитьWhere can i find all your lessons after this beginner course. Thank you
ОтветитьI am from Bangladesh,, every day I don't have your guitar class
ОтветитьThank you! I now have faith I will actually learn to play guitar. You're a wonderful teacher!!
Ответитьnice voice
ОтветитьHi Lauren,I am a lady from Sri Lanka(the profile photo is of my late husband who passed away 2 years ago😢)..went to a teacher or two, stopped playing few years ago, now I feel very lonely and took out my guitar again, which is a Birthday gift from my hubby.Thank God I found you, your explaining ,finger exercises, are excellent.
Thank you Lady, will keep practicing 👍🙏
Thank you, I needed that PUSH
ОтветитьThanks for taking it slowly. I'll check back in when I can do 3 chords, or 100,000 miles, whatever comes 1st
ОтветитьGreat!!!
ОтветитьCan’t praise your patient and simplified yet thorough approach to your lessons enough. And there is a brilliant singing voice hiding in there aswell!!!!! ♥️
ОтветитьA GREAT teacher with a beautiful voice as well😂
ОтветитьDear Lauren, l like your mehod of teaching the guitar chords and secondly you have so much patience to explain so softly. Above all you have incredible understanding for many elderly people,
I like to thank you for that too. Usually I learn one metod or two method to continue my guitar lesson on your channel.
Very helpful. User friendly. Thanks so much. Helping the kid next door. Cheers
ОтветитьParis viewer your presentation is remarkable helpful( clear & articulate.) and most of all diect from you to me the viewer..
merci I will check out your site.
Im 62 and built an acoustic guitar from scratch, so now i have to learn how to play it. I have lots of trouble with my fingers so it could be a challene but im determined to succeed.
Ответитьi love you
ОтветитьI like the way you teach
ОтветитьI am brand new to this. I dont understand where on my fingers I should hold down the string. It looks like you use your fingerprint part, but if I do that all my strings sound awful. I try to use the tip but it seems my nails get in the way, even though they ate trimmed short. Do you have a video on how to hold your fingers on strings? I have small hands and nothing seems to work right.
ОтветитьWe do ot oncy once 20 reps per finger or for 5/10 min ? Thank u very much for the tips 😊
ОтветитьAmazing
ОтветитьI'm 62 with long, thick (but not too thick), arthritic fingers, but I must say, your beginner lesson #1 is easy to follow. Even for me. I've tried others, and they're good too, but your lesson resonated with me. Thank you! I look forward to the next lesson.
ОтветитьExcellent lesson, thank you, first time.
ОтветитьThank you Lauren, I thoroughly enjoyed this lesson, even if my fret fingers do ache, but that's probably because they are 70 years old. I'm looking forward to the next one
