ОтветитьHello, I have a problem and it's because it can't follow the player. Each time a player joins, it adds a (Clone) right next to the name, which means it won't follow the player because the name doesn't line up with the original target's name. I have done everything else correctly, except for this little problem. Any help would be appreciated!

I'm having an issue where my character just disappears. the error is"UnassignedReferenceException: The variable target of CameraFollow has not been assigned." which i did do, i have the target set to the player.

ОтветитьThis is the correct way to do camera smoothing. Wow, after messing around over the years with so many different (ie: bad) ways of tackling this, SmoothDamp is by far the easiest and most bulletproof!

ОтветитьIf you, for some reason, need to make the camera movement not smooth, just make the camera a child of the player and position it on top of the player.
ОтветитьThank you! I was having so much trouble with Cinemachine that it's now 5:09 AM! Changing Rigidbody to Interpolation fixed it.

ОтветитьHi, I have done everything correctly and tried changing what you said in your video but if I put the target as the player, the animation on the player disables itself, I did try making an empty gameobject as a child of the player and adding a rigidbody2d and using that as the target but the camera does not follow it. Any ideas?

I did manage to implement this, but now I have a new problem: whenever the player character dies and gets respawned, the camera doesnt follow it anymore. it makes sense since the player object has been replaced by a clone of it, but how do I make the camera follow the clone of the player automatically after it respawns?
