Actually not my problem I am using a 1.2 dpcable in a 1.2 dp monitor slot in a 4070ti I should be getting 4k 60hz but for some reason in both the OCD and on the pc itself i'm only seeing 50hz can Display Port Cables die after a few years? I've had this monitor since around late 2018 early 2019 and the displayport cable came with it! sorry if I enter the chat agitated the vid just rubbed me the wrong (I get the have you tried turning it on and off again vibes from you, which is usually the first thing we always try) way i've been trying for hrs since I don't have another DP cable to find a driver related solution tracked down the monitor (which btw it's drivers ended on win8 64-bit so that could be the problem! i've tried freesync off and on)

all I know is up until a windows update a week or 2 ago I knew I was 60hz I only noticed when I decided to play a game today that it said 50hz it just came outta the blue!

But I’m on dp and it still won’t let me

nowadays we do have HDMI 1.4 , HDMI 2.1 that is compatible with 144hz & 120hz , 165hz on HDMI
im using AOC 1440p Monitor i get 165hz on HDMI bro. No Display port needed.
Also i can reach to 3840x2160p which is 4K but its 60hz only then i get 60fps locked in games. But I want to get 400 fps - 500 fps with my RTX 4080 on 1440p and 144hz or 165hz 1ms so i switched back to 1440p using HDMI , oh yeah i also understand the video you posted is 4 YEARS OLD . LOL , but you should now edit your TITLE of the video.

i have tried every option i have found on yourtube including this. everything should work, Pc recognizes monitor is 144hz the graphics card "nvidia" also recognizes this warzone even recognizes it yet when i set it to 144hz in game and press apply it just snaps back to 60fps.

I’m not using hdmi nvidia does run it 120hz but call of duty doesn’t let me change it to 120hz it stuck at 60hz i was able to run it at 120 before

Can someone educate me, Bought lenovo 165hz Gsync monitor comes with displayport cable.

Im using IGPU r3 3200g with Asus tuf b450 pro ii(with display-port port on the motherboard)

Whenever I connect the DP cable, It doesnt show any display, monitor just goes power-saving mode.

However, when i plug hdmi cable, it has a display but I could increase it up to 75hz, BUT 120,144,165 hz on windows settings are in the options but whenever I choose it, the screen goes blank for few seconds and basically just returns back to 75hz

So I’m on hdmi and can get to 144hz but my monitor says it can go to 165hz. My display settings won’t go higher than 144, how do I fix that? Or is it still an hdmi problem?
