Flounder are sometimes caught along with stripers as far up to Roanoke Rapids NC Thay hang around the stripers while migrating , AND spawning in the Roanoke River , good show 👍

I always wonder what happens to the fish when it steals that artificial bait. I’d imagine it eventually kills them, since they can’t digest it, as it takes up space in the stomach.

Great detail and thanks for setting the recod straight on hook setting. I wish you would show a little more detail on the rig and leader itself. Do you use the three way method or maybe the Carolina rig? I sure would like to know. I live on Oak Island near Wilmington NC and fish a lot from the beach. 1/8 or 1/16 ounce jig head , and gulp minnow. Trust me@

Using the wait technique with live bait will definitely cause small or illegal fish to die because they get gut hooked. If you feel weight it's safe to set the hook. Also you'll run into places where a half oz or more will be required for flounder in deep water with a lot of current. I used a half oz Sunday and caught the only flounder in the group.

I wish you two were close to SWFL. I just moved down here in September 2021. I want to go saltwater fishing, but don’t know much about it other than watching videos. I have a 7’ UglyStik GX2 medium heavy with 10# braid for main line and 20# clear mono for my leader (2+ feet of leader) to a jig head. Nothing fancy. Just want to keep things simple. I want to go somewhere quiet with very few people so I can just spend time learning my spinning reel, casting, trying to catch some fish, etc. I have no idea where to go. Help!

Hey i am new to flounder fishing and i have this juicy looking area that i can get to, it is basically a 25 deep its more flat but its very sandy it is also a large area would that be a decent place to fish? It has some docks alongside of it to but there kinda hard to anchor up next to. What do you think

New to flounder fishing - used your suggestions and caught my first flounder from a bulkhead in Longport NJ.
It was only a 14" but I was excited that using your method worked .

Going to Galveston Texas in July. There are long fishing piers on surf side. Can I wade fish the piers going out say waist deep? Day or night any difference on that??? Thx for any help!!!!

NEVER put Z-man plastics in the GULP juice. They will shrivel into nothing and not be worth using.
