Ian, is there any difference whatsoever between the MP38 and MP40 bolts with the original hooked cocking handles? In other words, are they the exact same? Thanks, Robert
ОтветитьEsuba Gran awuubaria pero su cadencia de disparo es lenta
ОтветитьThat press in bolt fix reminds me of a tec-9 safety
ОтветитьHi Ian, Why didn't the WW2 Axis powers Japan, Germany, Italy and satellite countries ever standardize small arms, AAA and artillery ordinance?
ОтветитьHey, question. How many hours did it take to manufacture MP40 submachine gun? Thank you
Ответитьgiveme one for God sake plssssssss love germany army
ОтветитьDisliking the underfolder is a contrarian hipster take
ОтветитьPrincipal SS Officer at Castle : [the Nazis burst into the room] Dr. Jones?
Indiana Jones , Professor Henry Jones : Yes?
Principal SS Officer at Castle : I will take zuh book now.
Indiana Jones , Professor Henry Jones : Wuh-what b-book?
Principal SS Officer at Castle : You have zuh diary in your pocket.
Professor Henry Jones : You dolt! Do you think my son would be that stupid? That he would bring my diary all the way back here?
[pause]
Professor Henry Jones : You didn't, did you?
[another pause]
Professor Henry Jones : You didn't bring it, did you?
Indiana Jones : Well, uh...
Professor Henry Jones : You *did*!
Indiana Jones : Look, can we discuss this later?
Professor Henry Jones : I should have mailed it to the Marx Brothers!
Indiana Jones : Will you take it easy?
Professor Henry Jones : Take it easy? Why do you think I sent it home in the first place? So it wouldn't fall into their hands!
Indiana Jones : I came here to SAVE you!
Professor Henry Jones : Oh, yeah? And who's gonna come to save you, JUNIOR?
Indiana Jones : [shouts] I told you...
[grabs a gun and shoots all soldiers dead]
Indiana Jones : DON'T call me Junior!
Professor Henry Jones : Look what you did! I can't believe what you did!
What if you have an MP39 🤔
ОтветитьI finally bought an MP40 after wanting one all these years. I used to prefer the late war models due to the iconic look of the magwell reinforcing ribs, but after learning more about the guns I have come to prefer the early MP40's and the MP38's. They are a lot more sleek and feel high-quality. The one I bought is an early production MP40; 1940 exactly, actually. Production code is 660 which is Steyr before they went over to the much more well known 'bnz'. The gun looks really sleek and the finish is beautiful, reminiscent of the glossy finish on early K98K's. This will look good beside my K98 and MG-34. Now I'm onto buying my final grail gun which is the MG-42, and after that I'll have to find something new to desire I guess.

ОтветитьThey were a problem when firing from the prone position, the Magazine got in the way. (As reported from references to Stalingrad) still a beautiful bit of engineering.
ОтветитьImho the magazines weren’t all that great.
ОтветитьThat front hook as you call it is not for hooking onto a touret as you said for recoil stability, please excuse my spelling but that hook is a sling hook so that the mp40 can be attached to the soldiers webbing mounted to the front of the soldiers torso...info from my grandfather who fought for germany
ОтветитьА первый мп 38
ОтветитьМп 40 фольмер эрма
ОтветитьПм.38.пм.40.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
ОтветитьI found these weapons to be damaged easily and quickly worn in the locking part between the upper receiver and lower group. If the user twists the upper and lower sections while shooting, the sear will not engage the bolt and the gun will expend the remaining cartridges in the magazine. It is complicated for a simple 9mm firearm and when compared to the STEN gun it is way over built. The folding stock is weak and clumsy to use and rattles when it is worn. The magazine capacity implies that it can sustain burst fire effectively, but I found the gun to use its ammunition supply rather quickly. Magazines are difficult to load without a loader and 15 to 20 rounds is about the best that can be done by hand when the loader is not available. Actually these are very common in American collector circles as many were rebuilt into papered guns in the middle 80's using the Armex Kits that were imported at that time. Returning G.I's favored these and M-1 carbines as well as handguns of various types as souvenirs. And many of those MP-38/40's were registered at some point before the 1986 GCA. In my opinion I would choose a PPSH-41 or PPS-43 over these weapons due to the powerful 7.62x25 cartridge and better accuracy at greater range.
ОтветитьAs un video donde las hagas tartamudear😁 ratatatatata okey
ОтветитьSon unas de mis preferidas si si👌
ОтветитьEstos fierros hacen marabillas bien usadas es espectacular y que poder de disuacion tienen joya.
ОтветитьUnas de las armas mas maravillosas de todos los tiempos☝️.
Ответитьこのサブマシンガンは工芸品です。
ОтветитьSo the MP38 and MP40 are like the AK47 and AKM respectively in regards to differences
ОтветитьThank you ! Your video very much help me !
ОтветитьThanks for the disassembly.
ОтветитьGerman engineering. Got to love it. Simple yet complex.
ОтветитьI always loved the "Schmeisser". awesome! 👍
ОтветитьIn Finland we had Suomi Submacine gun and for that there was 30% stronger 9 mm. Parabellum cartrige developed. How was in Germany dit they kept shooting these lean 9mm. Parabellum pistol cartrige. Btw. those 30% stronger Submachine cartriges that was laying all arround destroyed many pistols sooner or later. This cartrige busines is something I would like to learn.
ОтветитьThe build/materials quality of the 1900-1940ish weapons coming out of this area of Europe is/was just crazy.
ОтветитьMost beautiful family of SMGs in history.
ОтветитьMuseum Germany?¿🇺🇸🏴🇬🇧
ОтветитьOne of the worst submachine guns of the war.
The reason is the high cost of production.
There is no point in a weapon that you cannot equip your army with.
in the theater...and...they were soo cool if you grew up in the 50sw & 60s - with all the war flix in the movies and shows on TV...like Combat!!
ОтветитьGreat !
ОтветитьIn early times i though the hook is for punching the enemy and the barrelguard is a Bayonnet😅
ОтветитьThe initial shot of the 3 MPs made my pants shrink.
ОтветитьEach of the guns shown has the forward sling loop on the left side of the weapon, meaning that the barrels have been removed. The sling loop was always factory installed on the right side in order to avoid the sling interfering with the bolt handle. The groove in the muzzle nut was added so that the standard 98K rifle buna rubber muzzle cap could be used. The double stack, single feed magazine and the Vollmer telescoping recoil spring housing were patented. These might not have been the best designs, but Haenel was paid royalties on every gun delivered.
ОтветитьWouuu😮
Ответитьman so is there any point for the original safety catch once you have the that second one added or is just there to let the dirt in?
ОтветитьSo basically, always get the guns from the start of a war. Got it.
ОтветитьI'm amused to watch this, with its digression into single vs dual feed, on the same day you released a video specifically addressing that in a bit more depth.
ОтветитьGermans and there MPs and 9mm
ОтветитьMp40 👍👍👍
ОтветитьI just realized it, the gun was huge.....
ОтветитьThank you Sir, amazing video!
ОтветитьMy grand grandpa was partisan in Yugoslavia. He probably used the same MP 40 you had shown in the video. It was ( and it still is ! ) one of most famous weapons in the Balkans. It is known as "Šmajser" after it's manufacturer Schmeisser.
ОтветитьAmazing videos man. Been waiting for the Enfield and Ppsh to come in my feed.
ОтветитьThe mp40 looks so cool
