I really liked this song- then i was told they were a Christian band, so i atopped seeking them out.

My ex and I used to run into the lead singer all the time in the ‘90s all over Houston at Cactus Records once but primarily at Vinyl Edge. One of the coolest local rock stars and bands ever and that’s saying something for Houston’s 90s rock scene. My ex (May he RIP) and I had all their stuff and quite a bit of it was signed by him and other band members wo even asking before we ever left the store and afaik they were just customers as well. They were great live too!

The bass tone Dug has is the epitome of what distorted bass should be. Not fuzzy or so intense that notes are unintelligible. But rather, enhance the top end and midrange with a good amount of bite while leaving bottom end clean and big to help reinforce the guitars.

I realized for the first time that this video must have been shot on film. Because the quality is really good. I had the VHS tape back in the day with thier videos on. But back then it was all CRT standard definition. So you never thought about it. I'm curious how they achieved the grainy black and white because now I want to try and reproduce that look. It's amazing. Have loved King's X since the laye 80's when my friend Brian got me into them.
