Ответить5:01 AM (The Pros And Cons Of Hitchhiking, Pt. 10)
An angel on a Harley
Pulls across to greet a fellow rolling stone
Puts his bike up on its stand
Leans back and then extends
A scarred and greasy hand
He said
How ya doin', brother?
Where ya been? Where ya goin'?
Then he takes your hand
In some strange Californian handshake
And breaks the bone (have a nice day!)
A housewife from Encino
Whose husband's on the golf course
With his book of rules
Brakes and makes a U and idles back
To take a second look at you
You flex your rod (you flex your rod)
Fish takes the hook
Sweet vodka and tobacco in her breath
Another number in your little black book
These are the pros and cons of hitchhiking
These are the pros and cons of hitchhiking
Oh, babe
I must be dreaming
I was standing on the leading edge
The Eastern seaboard spread before my eyes
Jump, said Yoko Ono
I'm too scared and too good looking
I cried
Go on, she says
Why don't you give it a try?
Why prolong the agony?
All men must die
Do you remember Dick Tracy?
Do you remember Shane?
(And mother wants you)
Could you see him selling tickets
Where the buzzard circles over?
(Shane!)
(The body on the plain)
Did you understand the music, Yoko
Or was it all in vain?
(Shane!)
The bitch said something mystical
So I stepped back on the curb again, whoa
These are the pros and cons of hitchhiking

I must be dreaming again

ОтветитьBought this tape in 1985. Then went on leave and caught a train from Johannesburg to Durban. Went broke after 10 days, didn't have money for a train ticket back and had to hitch hike back home.
Took me 2 days of hitch hiking. I sang that song many times next to the road, and when I finally arrived at my spot, I played it over and over ...
Happy 80th Birthday, to the God of his own genre pure works of epic art
ОтветитьUnder the radar song, but a really good one
Ответить2023 & still STRONG
ОтветитьKinda wish those fantastic backing singers were singing lead vocals all the way through .... Roger was struggling to carry a tune even back then.
ОтветитьAndy Newmark plays also with John Lennon and Yoko Ono David Gilmour Ron Wood George Harrison Eric Clapton and many more.
ОтветитьI saw this concert in Oakland Ca. I was on LSD. It was amazing
ОтветитьRoger makes me dreaming of hitchhiking
But actually all our life’s just a dreaming… or hitchhiking?.
I hope so!
Really great song to wake up at 5.01 AM 😅

ОтветитьROGER WATERS "A DICK IN THE RUSSIAN WALL?
ОтветитьWhen this album came out a buddy a few years older than me introduced it to me. I will never forget that night, sitting up late, smoking a joint and taking in the music, rocking it and playing video games. 3 days later his brother told me he committed suicide. I hope you are at peace Chrarlie. How could we have been friends that long and me not know something was bothering you? DAMNN IT! I miss you buddy! Every time I hear 5.01 AM I think of you. The way we sang along to it over and over to it after a few drinks and just had a fuckin' great night rockin' out
ОтветитьThis blows away any post Waters Floyd albums.
ОтветитьFORGOTTEN, by RW live in concert. What a shame...............

ОтветитьWhen did The Rapture occurr
ОтветитьYou can kiss my ass
Ответитьpshhhhh. hahahah. so bad
ОтветитьAlways loved, loved Roger Waters's voice. It isnt technically good like, say Elvis, but it delivers an emotional charge and edge, much the same way Tom Waits uses his voice. Waters uses his voice and vocal range perfectly.
ОтветитьGeniale Roger Waters aver scelto come spalla il magico chitarrista eric clapton.copia stratosferica.geniali ambedue sono la storia del rock mondiale.fantastici inimitabili.Dainese Aldo.
Ответитьlyrical genius
Ответитьroger waters is a rabid and delusional anti-Semite, who is intoxicated by the fallacious notion of his own relevance.
waters delights in holding to, embellishing upon and passionately contaminating others with his groundless distortions, tropes and false accusations against Israel and the Jewish people.
Regardless of his home being safely nestled in faraway rural England, waters (who, far from being original or distinctive, deferentially toes-the-line of his ‘woke’ and BDS confederates) speaks vehemently about Israel in particular and the Middle East generally, as if he has either lived there as a native of the region or has magically received a measure of divine ‘unique revelation’ granting him alone some kind of secret, inside and privileged insight into the ‘facts-on-the-ground’ in a global region for which he actually understands very little.
waters appears to believe that his imaginary and exclusive ‘revelation’ not only compensates adequately for this shortcoming, but it has also bequeathed to him…
01. Flawless and deep insight into all Jewish, Arab, Israeli and Middle Eastern issues and dynamics.
02. Full authority to speak out and sermonise his perverted ‘gospel of hate’ with absolute impunity as he alone sees fit.
03. His life’s mission of categorising, demonising and falsely branding the Jewish State as a shameless and brazen perpetrator of apartheid, repression, injustice and tyranny, whilst categorising Arabic residents and ‘palestinians’ in particular in and around Israel as the innocent, mild-mannered and down-trodden, remnants of the ancient and once proud, original natives of the Jewish homeland.
waters remains wilfully deaf and blind to the ever-growing archaeological mountain of indisputable and tangible proof of Jewish presence in Israel for over 3,000 years, whereas the history of the ‘palestinian people’ (as an ethnically distinct group) was entirely invisible until suddenly appearing in the mid-1960s, following a political strategy being devised by yet another history revisionist (and in this case also a murdering terrorist) named yasser arafat.
It was arafat, in conjunction with the Arab League, who in 1964, originally started a political group known as the ‘palestinian liberation organisation’ and arafat himself, as leader of ‘fatah’, who then subsequently concocted the imaginary ‘palestinian people’ as a distinct entity, in 1967, along with their immediate and retro-actively ‘proud-and-ancient-connection’ to the land of Israel – but this, though germane, is a discussion for another time.
Hatred, pseudo-intellectualism, racial vilification, history revisionism, an inflated, arrogant belief in his own relevance and significance together with an obdurate litany of disinformation of daily life in Israel are all at the core of waters’ repugnantly perverted catalogue of propaganda and ‘Jew-hatred’.
After all, for roger waters, why should he ever tolerate an inconvenient detail like THE TRUTH to spoil his gratuitous and maliciously racist 'hate-fest'!!!
It’s horrifying to consider that waters’ malignant ugliness seeped into such a wonderful band as Pink Floyd – although, thankfully they now seem to be going really well without him!!!
Cada vez que ouço Roger waters vou até aos anos 80/90
