How tall are you that you had to buy a 60cm frame?? Im 6foot 2 and i usually ride a 58 or 61 in specialized tarmacs..

Im getting rid of my 2022 S-works SL7 tarmac tomorrow for the 2023 black trek madone SLR gen7 frame..im basically swapping frames and drive train..the SL7 tarmac is very fast and nimble but i find that after a 30mile ride it beats me up.. i want to keep speed but need more comfort to ride longer..

Well after Hambini's video of the cracked Madone Cashflow frame I hope you are doing well on your fastest bike ever.

I hate that they give all the products the same name but change an acronym. So confusing to find 40 different trek madone s all with thousands of dollars in varying prices

I bought the Madone SLR 9 AXS in Prismatic White. It replaced a 2011 Madone 6.5. There is a big difference in handling. I typically ride at avg 19-21mph so don't get the full aero benefits at this speed but I'm certainly a bit faster on the new bike. As my fitness goes up and weight goes down (91Kg currently), my aero benefits (speed) will go up from both.

I bought the same torque wrench used by my Trek shop (Unior 266B Electronic Torque Wrench). I wish I had researched them a bit more since the one you have is rated to be just as accurate for less and has a wider torque range. Don't forget to get your torque wrench calibrated every year or so or whenever you accidentally drop it.

Beautiful bike! It's probably my fav paint job i've seen of the new ones so great picking. Curious, how tall are you? I ride a 58 in a decade old Madone and wonder if at 6'2 i'd go with a 60 for one of these

5.2Nm on the seat clamp is plenty, my Scott Addict RC uses 1, 3mm bolt at 4Nm max torque and I’ve never slipped. I’m 220+lbs

I find shimano alot more reliable and shifts slightly faster than Sram..

You can adjust Shimano without using the app, just hold down the button on the rear derailleur until it goes into service mode then use the shifter button to adjust. You can also set up the shifter bottoms to your own liking, I have mine set up like SRAM using both levers for the rear derailleur.

Love the video. I’m also considering the sl7. Is the rim upgrade worth it?

I'm picking up my 2023 quicksilver madone in about two weeks (ordered back in August).
Greetings from Poland!

Nice review. If you don’t mind answering, did you get any discount on MSRP of the bike? Thank you
