Something to consider, honey bees are not native to North America, as such they out compete the local solitary bees for food and drive them closer to extinction, these solitary bees have evolved with our local plants and are far more efficient at pollinating them than honey bees, losing the solitary bees would be devastating for our plant life.

You could help to offset your impact by creating solitary bee habitats, then tending to and hatching the eggs to ensure that they thrive as well.

Gee. This system is so fascinating and you demonstrated it so well. I wish I’d known about all of this when I was younger. I tried to explain the concept to a friend a few months ago, but it’s difficult to explain just with words. Your demonstration really shows how everything is symbiotic, and seeing it makes all come . it together.

Do you have any, or can you make any, videos going over the economics of your permaculture farm? Things like how many hours a week it requires to maintain, how much land is needed, minimum and optimum crop/heard variety/sizes, initial startup costs, monthly yields in food/income? I like the idea of it, and the idea seems viable, but having a hard time reconciling why it would not be common except economics. Even a simplistic economic breakdown may point to inefficiencies that can drive innovations that could allow the model to supplant industrial farming.

How many acres do you need to run the sheep tractor, chicken tractor and bees all together like that? I'm just curious on how small of a farm it could be to be successful enough to pay for itself essentially.

one thing I think makes a definition a problem is that everyplace and area is different. You could have to permaculture farms less then a mile from each other and the way things are done or plants grown will differ. It's all about nature and nature is all about diversity.

You have great information. Watched several of your videos. Your lady friend seems pretty knowledgeable as well. Noticed she only speaks when spoken to( 5 seconds or less). She only moves when you give her commands. If your going to benefit from having her on the channel give her the respect and honor her with at least 45% of educating viewers. Rehearse your lines if need be. It’s distracting when your treating her like a child or like you own her.

In the gardening institutes they teach you about absorption like in the example means of how you then can use what has to be described in detail after beginning anew with thoughts of the permaculture process basically non storage like programming they teach you I mean the branch through exposure to pollutions & what not so, that comment brought me here THANKS

Paul Gautschi gave the best definition of Sustainable Permaculture for folk who need it spelled out in writing in my opinion and also Jeoff Lawton said if it is sustainable and it works for you then that's what matters most.
We also have to remember that we're not all in the same climate or grow zones and sometimes people forget that very key bit of information.
Gardener Scott brought this up in a video not to long ago. What works for you may not always work for everyone else due to where an individual's home space is on Earth. All good points and I love what your doing. Keep up the good work. Thank you and God bless you.

I have fallen in love with permaculture. My backyard has been transformed in the past two years from grass to veggies, eatable perennials, fruits, berries and chicken. I am working on this manifestation: more land and a PDC (Permaculture Design Certificate). I am 50 years old, but hey - mother earth doesn't care about age right? :-) Greetings from Denmark
