Honestly with Wanderer I love the way they wrote him, and they really did make him the prime example of "old habits die hard". While he is still on his way down the road of redemption there is a lot of work, he has to do but change simply doesn't happen overnight. While he is still going to be a bit of a douchebag at times it's going to be a lot harder to undo this personality of his which was the product of his own past. But the fact that he is making an effort to atone for his past actions really does show a lot.
