Can someone help me? I'm playing with fidelity mode but the reflections don't work, only the shadows (xbox series X)

It seems like you are comparing fidelity mode with performance mode here, rather than just RT on/off. Feel like this is maybe making it seem more of a difference than it actually is. You can run ray tracing while still maintaining 60 FPS.

It's probably just me but it works great for the PS5. Performance isn't an issue, Sony excels at balancing things out. All I know Is, have to play in a darker lighting to get a perfect experience.

No option in settings/advanced settings

Adding ray tracing to this game was a waste of time and resources it dosent drasticlly change the look of the game that much other than seeing your gta person in window reflections and in all honesty the graphics on pc PS5 Xbox series are amazing anyways you may not have as crisp of shadows or reflextions unlike with rtx but who really plays gta to sit there and takes in what water reflections are like. If your the kinda person to sacrifice 60+ FPS for 30 FPS and RTX, on a nearly 10 year old game you need to reconsider your life choices.

Frame rate>graphics any day of the week.

Everything felt so fake and lifeless for me without the rt reflections and I've always hoped they would add some to the game...the game looks almost next gen now.

It's like cyberpunk. You get 20 fps with rtx on. No thanks

I feel like cockstar could of made the game 60fps with RT on the new consoles but that also sounds like that would require a little bit of thought and effort so instead they said here guys here is the absolute bare minimum 🤦‍♂️

Gotta love how ray tracing was hyped up so much by those insane graphics mods just to be implemented as what is essentially the same product but you can see yourself in reflections 😂

Edit: I think this update either broke performance rt or fidelity because the lighting is exclusively the same with performance and fidelity. WHAT IS HAPPENING.
After some testing it seems that Performance RT just has the same fidelity mode close up which removes the lighting far away to keep the 60fps while performance has no rt (basic shading) explaining the drastic jump. Also it's HARD to find certain spots for Fidelity to be noticeable with half the muddy building structures not having enough proper lighting to even matter.

This addition made Fidelity a definite contender with Performance RT, for me.

Nonetheless, I eventually switched back for smoother gameplay.

Now i can wait for gta 6 with no worries😌

Why couldn't they add it for performance RT mode. It's would be a good balance of both for people that have the Series X

It really really burns me they aren't upgrading PC the same way not just as an exclusive marketing thing, but the fact they realize there's no money to be made off PC users due to all the modders wrecking everything and turning it into a cesspool. There's a reason us PC players can't even escape this hell with a character transfer.

It went from having pretty awful looking puddle reflections to amazing looking ones. It's just too bad there's no 60 FPS option for this.

As a 3D-render worker, I'm still laughing when video games call these enhanced cubemap reflections "ray tracing" 😂😂

I have an Xbox series X and this setting is not in the options for the display I've been looking all over for an answer and I have not found one so why do I not have these settings after I updated the game

This is a step forward from just shadows but what would truly be impressive and transform the entire game to a "next-gen" one is RT GI
