Ответитьthank you mister bruff
Ответитьthis is a fantastic revision method this guy is amazing
ОтветитьI have no idea how I managed to turn this into a two hour study session, but I did and it helped so I recommend this to anyone doing gcse literature, or anyone who had to look at ozymandias for just about anything
Ответитьwhen will English gcse syllabus change???? how many years it will change
Ответитьthis has really helped me i am using it to revise for my gcse thank you x
Ответитьcharge of the light brigade ‘valley of death’ another quote from the bible
ОтветитьHelped me so much for my English exam
Ответитьshelly is based
ОтветитьThe poem is about Shelley's partner in crime Lord Byron .
ОтветитьExam in 30 minutes😅
Ответитьexam in 4 hours 💀
ОтветитьI would compare this to “checking out me history” as both are certainly a criticism of power, or the misuse of it, however they differentiate in the fact that “ozymadias” explores its impermanence and “checking out me history” of how that power and influence has retained through centuries, into our modern day.
ОтветитьNight before gang 2023
Ответитьcan you compare Ozymandias with storm on the island, since they both show the power of nature? ozymandias showing that time will always overthrow man, and storm on the island showing natures brutality and superiority over man.
Ответитьi would compare 'Ozymandias' to 'London' as they both have a distinct dislike for those in power as they analyse the cruelty and injustice occurring within society. They both criticise the church and the monarchy to forward the wrongs of today as they would['ve known it
Ответитьnice one mr bruff 👍🏻
Ответитьwho's here just getting started on revision or just me
Ответитьyou could compare it to storm on the island as it matches the power of nature destroying his kingdom like the nature bombarding the islanders
ОтветитьTHANK YOU ❤ This will help me teach my ELA and Support Learning English classes so much easier! Extending students is so easy, but getting students understand things when they have lower abilities is something I'm struggling with this year. A short video is going be a great starting point 👍
ОтветитьThank you for these videos Mr Bruff! They're sooooooo good, and the animation is great!
ОтветитьWhat is wrong with you, we’re a family!
ОтветитьI thought Ozymandias was when those guys killed Hank
ОтветитьI swear why does school make such an education hard to learn in school but in a video explaining it all in a quick and digestible way it is a bizaar time we love in nowadays.
Ответитьthis is quite extraordinary
ОтветитьBoth King George III and Napoleon on full splendor of power. Makes sense the urge to convey the sense of ultimate destiny of former power once we are gone.
Ответитьi would compare it to hawk roosting
ОтветитьI would only slightly compare it to Browning and Porphyria's Lover, in the sense that there's a verbal testimony to an act, one that sought to arrest time (in Ozymandius, the sculpter, creating what presumably he felt might be an un-shatterable visage, and in Pophyria's Lover, the moment in which the poem's speaker psychopathically endeavours to preserve his partner's life and beauty, to hold fast time, to arrest it in someway). Both have very different purposes. Different scales of time. I don't really know why my brain made the association, but... it was there somewhere. lol.
Ответитьplease can you do a video on how to structure the essay comparing power and conflict poems?
Ответитьcan you do ozymandias and london?
ОтветитьI thought this was breaking bad
ОтветитьIn the poems 'Ozymandias' and 'Exposure', nature is presented as a dominant force which overwhelms everything, including those who hold power.
In the poem 'Ozymandias', shelley initially uses a sculptured face of the statue
"He made up his mind 10 minutes ago. So do what you're gonna d-" 😥
Ответитьi got an 8 cuz of u
ОтветитьThat's not how I remember it. I remember it being the 14 episode n the 5th season of the hit show Breaking Bad. It opens with a man named Jack killing a man named Hank who is a man named Walter's brother inlaw and Jack takes Walter's money. Walter goes back to his family but they don't want him so Walter takes his baby and gives it back and goes into witness protection.
ОтветитьPOV: your the only one here who thought the poem was interesting and looked up an analysis 😂
Ответить"What is wrong with you?! We're a family! We're a family..."
– Walter H. White
Yo mr white i am the king of kings bitch
Ответитьwhos watching the night before?
Ответить"Jesse we need to revise gcse literature jesse"
ОтветитьWell everyone, almost a month until GCSE'S. Who's here frantically beginning revision?
ОтветитьI , had never gone this depth into english before. For me , english was just a subject , a subject I'm good at and barely look at until the exams appear. I had never realised why people praised the poems of such people , what made it different that the simple ones I had written.
But if you give me poems like these , how can I deny their power? Thanks , suggest any other such works if there are such
Todays my mock
