So, I got an error that the CMOS battery is dead (this is confirmed by the fact my time is set back to 2010 every boot). I replaced with a new 2032 CMOS battery and the same issue. Do I flash the bios or just replace the Motherboard?

To load the BIOS on a USB key, it must fill 4.096KB if it does, you have not packed it out Regt

press Delete ,to go In bios. To Flash your MSI Motherboard using the M-FLASH feature. The only thing you need is your ↑ , ↓ and your "enter" button on the keyboard. Of cource your MSI motherboard, a USB keyring and an your new MSI bios on it. Connect your key to the motherboard, and enter the bios. Now find the M-flash feature.the bios needs to be in the root of the USB stick Dont be scared, just watch the movie here.
