As a new player sneaking around, minding my business I am having a really good time. I started off 0-4 for exfils said fuck it “If I’m going to die it’s gonna happen might as well get my loot” now I am on a 9 exfoliate streak enjoying the game. I even ran up on some dude looting, was aiming at his head, he stopped looted and looked at me I started shaking around and because I let him live we parted ways peacefully. The unspoken truce was something amazing to see, especially with the abundance of loot goblins nowadays.

Proud to say my survival rate this wipe has hovered around 50%, it’s dipped recently because I ran factory with a VPO bolt action and EKO in my alpha, no armor so I could complete sniper part 3

I’ve done 16 raids total solo all on Woods, survived 6

"DONT BE SPRISED IF YOU DONT SURVIVE 10/100 RAIDS" was true asf i only extracted 15/50 runs so far but still having fun and learning

I love getting into firefights but I think they should reward you more for simply surviving.

obv pest is amazing but be weary of leaving your backpack as a new player as it can become a lost backpack quickly by either forgetfulness, pscavs, or rats!

Or i could be a sneaky lil rat and hide at extract or in a tree and slurp up all your hard earned loot. Either play style works remember that. Being a vietcong and hiding in bushes or trees or in high up places nornally works since oeople arent used to looking up (getting better now tho cus of streets) since for a long time there hasnt been much vertical gameplay.

One of the biggest tips I have is that it's usually really easy to make money in this game. If you stick to a rule that you should be able to afford 10 similar kits always when going into the raid, you'll pretty much never run out of money. You might run shitty gear, but by knowing that you avoid PvP and player hotspots. Run scavs to gain more free loot. Gear in your stash is there to help you progress and gain more gear. If you have gear fear and don't like to run expensive kits you might have found and run budget instead, the worst thing that can happen if you run the best gear is that you lose it and are back in your comfort zone running budget gear again.

First advice to beginners in Tarkov. You die all the time in Tarkov because it has been proven that over 80% of players cheat.... worst game ever... (used to be good).

I don't understand how you know what loot is good or not. There's so many items and you're just like, "oh yeah that's good take that. Put that in a backpack, take that along, swap this chest armour" etc.

The UI/UX isn't friendly enough for a new player to make definite decisions that is best for them/their play style.

Like halfway through the vid you're rattling off prices of what each item is worth. Where does it say that in game (outside of the vendor)?
It's not friendly or intuitive - even regarding armour and damage numbers

Heres how I started Tarkov;
I liked the idea of a mall map, so I started Interchange.
I printed out maps with extract routes
Played offline for two days, with the goal of filling up a backpack in the mall and getting out.
Once I had extracts known and knew how to get out of the mall I went online
Killed scavs, ran from gunfire, looted EVERYTHING, and I mean I picked up everything, as soon as I was full, I got out.
Then I'd lookup each item to determine how useful it was in terms of quest, barters, crafts.
As I got more comfortable, I branched out little by little. My first two wipes I played only Interchange and Customs

so i just want to say LISTEN TO THIS MAN i just started playing and followed a good tip with just get into the habbit of going to extraction at the start like for beginners i thought even tho not being motivated ill try i wanna get better anyway. what happens i do what he said and now im near exit with insane weapons for me as a lvl 3 killed 4 ppl with it fought to exit and extracted

the real enemy of this game is inventory management, feels like playing puzzle minigame in war zone.

Dude im new and i keept getting killed by bots and making complain tickets to the support that i cant report the cheaters when they where fucking bots and i didnt know i should ve watched some videos or something.

why are the characters shouting all the time giving away their position even before they start shooting at each other?
