This isn't a Chironex
ОтветитьDon't see point in staying around if they sting you dead in 15 minutes
ОтветитьHe hate this is a box jellyfish
ОтветитьThis one is not a Chironex box. Looks more like a Morbakka "fire" jelly, which also produces very nasty injuries but is not known to have killed anyone.
ОтветитьNice video, but thats not any Chironex Species. This is Morbakka.
ОтветитьIsn't that a chironex fleckeri
ОтветитьThe fish on top of the box jelly has the balls of steel
ОтветитьLooks like an irukanji
ОтветитьBox jellyfish kill 100 people a year with half of the deaths being in the Philippines. Can you believe that?
Ответитьcode brown
ОтветитьThis isn´t actually a box jellyfish, but a sea wasp as the guys from reefers divers on Koh Phangan told me and they´re in Thailand from may to december/january
ОтветитьWhy would you dive around a box jellyfish without full protection??
ОтветитьBut it's Carybdea Marsupialis...
ОтветитьWhere in thailand?
ОтветитьNow that’s one giant box jelly
ОтветитьYea... Not a good idea.
ОтветитьDafuq. I I saw my fucking hand about to touch that blob of jelly out swim the fuck outa the water.
ОтветитьThose muffled screams at the beginning though o_o
ОтветитьThat actually looks like Morbakka :). Chironex have several tentacles at each corner. Can cause Irukandji syndrome, but not usually lethal.
ОтветитьI may be a pussy, but if I saw one of these while diving, I would get the hell out of there.. respect for having the guts to approach it!
