Thank you very much. Awesome craft
ОтветитьMe looking for a chord progression that's not 1415 and this video pops up. 😅
ОтветитьWholehearted thank you!
ОтветитьWow! This is amazing! I wish I met you this long time ago.
Thank you for sharing and you made me to learn more about the music.
cheers! 😎
I love this channel because the editing is so whimsical yet practical in conveying what you’re saying and it’s both so clear but also so fun!! Epic video 👍
ОтветитьThank you, thank you very much! I learned more about creating (melodic) MUSIC from your tutorial than in four years of music academy. As an "educated" drummer/percussionist guess I was/am the living proof for the old saying: "The MUSICIANS and the DRUMMER are expected to enter the stage"... Maybe next time I'll be allowed to enter the stage when the call is to the MUSICIANS? LOL
ОтветитьOh far OUT man!!
ОтветитьThis is super helpful. Sinking in.
ОтветитьDoes music express emotion better than words? Is it the language of emotion?
ОтветитьThis content is quite frankly, excellent!
ОтветитьI took music theory in high school, but never really learned how to read or write music on paper. My melody lines are very simple and come from my head. I fear that they are too similar to other compositions I've created. Is this simply "my style" or am I missing something? Sometimes, I don't realize if I'm plagiarizing other melody lines or if they're just similar to others' work. I'm beginning to lose faith in my ability and could use some advice. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
ОтветитьGreat teaching thank you.
ОтветитьGreat video. Very practical approach to making interesting melodies.
ОтветитьMelody where there is a beat to match to
Ответитьthis is amazing thank you, will be bach to watch this again!
ОтветитьThis is an EXCELLENT VIDEO! Now I have 1 question, do these rules and concepts ALSO apply when writing lyrics to your chord progressions since Lyrics are a melody but with a voice instead?
ОтветитьWonderfully presented and explained with a masterful touch from the violin rendition... thank you for making this 🙏
Ответитьi love hearing the non-chord tones. the tension makes me feel things lol. im excited to use them in my first piece
Ответитьgonna be the next bach frfr jk thank you so much for this incredibly helpful and well-made guide i hope you have a nice day
ОтветитьExcellent advice, thank you
ОтветитьThat was amazing. I watched the previous linked video first and saw how it all came together. Hat's off to all involved. It was most entertaining and educational.
ОтветитьI’ve been a trombonist for 10 years now and I tried this. Couldn’t think of anything very creative so I put the well known bruckner 8 trombone excerpt over å Dominant 7th chord sequence with the root being an F major 7 chord
It honestly sounded really cool
Your literally trash
ОтветитьWould've been great if you had used just a piano sound....I couldn't really hear much of what you were discussing because your "piano" sound was too close in likeness to the violin
ОтветитьThis method is 100x more difficult than writing melody first and adding chord (harmony) later.
ОтветитьAmazing! I love the violin play. And I am flashed by the multitude of ideas just handling 4 chords. Lovely!
ОтветитьMadly easy to understand
ОтветитьIt sounds too difficult for me.
ОтветитьAs was said to Mozart: Too many notes. How are you going to teach melody composition with such fast melodies, and how are they applicable to songs as you claim? Start with the basics.
Ответитьon the importance of rhythm, sometimes I like to start a melody with rhythm. Just clapping or tapping something along to a groove and worrying about notes later can often be quite effective
ОтветитьThis is one of the best music education videos I've ever seen. Easy to understand and simply beautiful.
ОтветитьHow many hits did he write ?
ОтветитьI've been playing the guitar about 12 years now and there was recently a 6 year gap, it's a long story. I already knew three of the chords except the E7. After playing it in the following order A minor, E7, G, F. After a couple of tries it started sounding out. It blew me away! Thanks for tutorial. You also filled in some holes in my understanding of how it was put together. I'm going back and review some of the things that you mentioned. 😁😁
ОтветитьThank you so much 🫶
ОтветитьThe editing is fantastic. Never gets boring. I am deeply happy to find you. Hope you doing well <3
ОтветитьCan you perhaps do a video on inversions one day? I understand it when there is 3 notes, but once a note is doubled and the chord has 4 notes then I'm lost.
ОтветитьWow, great and inspirational video. Feel like going to reinvent old written songs
ОтветитьVery interesting thank you.
ОтветитьMan the violinist was absolutely stellar...blew out my Aorta..
ОтветитьAs a non-native english speaker this is gold, i wish my teachers were this good at explaining melody.
Ty
very helpfull thank you
ОтветитьThe violinist is good as fuck, mad props to her
Ответитьthis video is really good, keep it up David!
ОтветитьHoly man this is not just a meat but a whole cow, so much information packed in one video! Thanks, as a newbie in musical theory this is help a lot
ОтветитьThis is amazing. Thank you for the effort. ❤
