This is how a non mechanical player would play it in lower elo. If you want to actually improve you'd have to be able to just read it and play off it. I was in agreement until you showed how close the defender was to the play since if there isn't a defender you could just do a wide turn and play it slower but the defender being there means you're useless if you start turning to commit to the play and they beat you (which they should have if not for the misread).

Best way to improve your reads is to keep sending it until you become good at reading those awkward bounces.

This is really great advice at any rank below like low gc because we are so hardwired to just get to the ball as quick as possible which costs control and position and is needed more in defence too as the orange guy found out👍👍

and i went straight ahead, double jumped and soft pinched it up, then jumped off the wall and finished it with a double flip reset musty backboard.

going THAT wide is something you do when you cant read.... it doesnt improve your reads.

Maaaaan solo queueing makes all these tips pointless. When I solo queue I have to hug the back net on defense the whole game and try to make breakaways when the other team makes a mistake. I’m not very good, but solo queueing holds me back 😢all time goalie right here😢

Or he had a good play hitting it soft like that so he keeps possession, he just needs to learn to play through those awkward situations bc it will happen many many times in all modes in this game. Spookluke with his gc2 coaching is highly inaccurate but good try luke💀

It's less taking a wider turn, and more realizing that you need to use the time you have where you are unsure what to do and put yourself in a good position.

You never want to be in a position where you are waiting for the ball to do something predictable. That means you're either not pushing or defending the ball when you should, or you're not positioning yourself properly for anything to happen.

Also, if you're waiting, it probably means you're not moving. A moving car is more likely to win the ball compared to a car that has to move from being stopped.

I disagree. With better mechanics, he could have tipped the ball to the teammate behind him. He ultimately made the correct decision with the approach, but the touch is what was executed poorly.

I’m in low ranks but understand rotation and position decent. If the ball hits the corner I instantly rotate to mid boost. I know I’ll have a rumbling bumbling chaser flopping around like a fish out of water and ANYONE may center it for me lol 😂😂
