Yeah, you hit the fins. Not the casing where the actual explosive charge and detonating fuzes are. Unless you’re using HE/HE-I loaded auto cannons, a hit on a bomb does not guarantee its destruction. Any round that does not contain its own impact detonating charge will have to hit the bomb casing to have a chance of destroying it. And in the case of incendiary rounds without any bursting charge or impact detonating explosive charge: the bomb casing is considered structural steel, so just about any caliber of machine gun/auto cannon will penetrate. There is always the possibility of the bomb’s own fuzes prematurely firing by hitting the bomb with any kind of round or fragments regardless of where the hits are on the bomb. In which case the bomb is treated as having a health pool that once zeroed out causes premature detonation
