I was agreeing with what you were saying right up until the beginning where you said this isn't highschool anymore, this is college, and I was like "💀" this is exactly what's happening in highschool rn
ОтветитьI’ve taken pre algebra, college algebra, stats, pre calc, and trig, and now in preparation for calc. Im apprehensive because it feels like I’ve been working past two years towards calculus. And calc I is the only the start of my heavy math classes. ( chem student )
This video was a good reminder for me to stay in check, do my work, and don’t lose focus. Thanks
Im going to fail calculus this semester and i feel horrible
ОтветитьI think I will have a mild stroke😭😭😭 dealing with conic sections.
ОтветитьExams should look like what the students were supposed to study for. A little more difficult that requires a bit of thinking but it shouldn't be something way different. If I studied chain rule (Calculus I) then there is no reason I should be getting tested on integral by parts (Calculus II). I know that's an over exaggeration but professors like to pull similar stunts.
ОтветитьI’m struggling hard in calc. I dropped out in 2009 and just started back with no basic concepts.
Ответитьhow do you rebuild your foundation in high school math?
ОтветитьI'm currently in Calc 1 and already struggling. 😭👀
ОтветитьDude i dont understand continuity
ОтветитьMy teacher wont let us use basic calculators during exams. Looks like this class is gonna be the end of my marh classes. I cant do arithmatic fast enough without a calculator...
ОтветитьPhysics in engineering is worse literally, cuz it involves high calculus integral skills
Ответить❤❤
Ответить"most biggest"
Ответитьdont underestimate geometry
ОтветитьPlease I’m going to be a sophomore, a 16 year old taking pre calculus honors, sobbbbb
ОтветитьI’m brown. I’m not bad at math. Math is just racist.
ОтветитьYou are f*cked up as a math teacher if you are giving exams that are nothing like the homework. YOU as the professor need to set the expectations by assigning challenging homework if you want to give challenging exams.
ОтветитьWhat is calculus FOR though? What questions about reality does calculus answer? Tell me a story about a practical problem, how algebra didn't cut the mustard, and how calculus was needed to solve that practical problem.
Ответитьcalculus is easy, the algebra part is mid tier difficulty the hardest part... simplification rearranging and fraction radicals and memorizing identities,. I think if you master algebra and know fraction rules and good in simplification and have a good memory you will find calculus easy, wanna see what i mean? try integrating a problem using substitution by parts that's involve a difinity integral of pi in a fraction as a boundaries and the problem itself should have a partial fraction decomposition with natural log and eular number rises to the 3x multiplied by x'5 add some trig sin(8x)cos'5(-3x) to the mix enjoy
ОтветитьI have number dyslexia
Ответитьin my class i dont get a book or any homework we get one worksheet and we do the whole thing in class, what should i do?
Ответитьwhen i am solving questions of calculus i dont know why i cant find the way to start
Ответитьif the test covers material not in homework or in class, then the teacher has done a poor job
ОтветитьBuy a different Calculus book than what’s required and do problems.
ОтветитьI attended an extremely religious private school all the way to 8th grade where they replaced our algebra and pre algebra math with a class called “applied maths” we learned how to write a check and “world applicable” math problems. I am now in school for electrical engineering and have never been filled so much anger. I am in calc 2 fighting for my life. Torn between integration problems and wtf is the quadratic equation again? It’s horrible and I have never been so distraught in my life. My spirit feels broken. I dream of engineering but feel so lost. It’s a nightmare.
Ответитьratio
Ответить1. this isn't highschool. have conversation with your professors
2. do enough right-home-work-problems. do book problems+ do assignments + do hardest book problems given in end of every chapter
3. excel in algebra+trigonometry
This vid is Pi minutes long:) <3
ОтветитьDeja Vu 😔
ОтветитьCovid essentially destroyed my high-school math classes. School shutdown during Algebra 2, the next year I only had Pre-Calc a couple times a week with a teacher who didn't care cause they were leaving that same year. Next thing I knew I was taking summer 2 calc 1 and barely passed. Now I'm failing calc 2 after the first 6 weeks
ОтветитьI just don’t do hw.
ОтветитьI pray that my grades in Calculus will be good. Huhu because I have scholarship to maintain. I want to be an Industrial Engineering cumlaude 👷♀️🙏🤍
Ответить"This isn't high school anymore"... me as a junior in high school.....uhhhhhhhhhhhh
Ответитьhonestly calculus isn't that hard...the mistakes I ALWAYS made in calculus were algebra related...goes to show how important it is to really have a solid foundation
ОтветитьWell… You’ll pass calc 1, BUT anything after that, god will most definitely not have mercy on your soul😂😂😂 especially in Calc 2 or in modern differential equations.
ОтветитьUse diagra method and not Formula method.
Integrate sinx from 0 to 2pi 0 to 4pi 0 to 6pi 0 to 8pi .
The answers in all the cases is -2 by formula method
The correct method is to draw graph and add up
You will get 4 8 12 and 16 resptly
1 for each pi/2 interval.
This will clear lot of trash from Trigonometric Calculus.
I’m a first term junior and I have three more maths to take before I graduate next year. I like this guy. He knows what he’s talking about.
ОтветитьEfficient and well put advices👀 👌
ОтветитьTo be fair, I think exams should look like homework problems. Either homeworks should be harder, or the exam should be easier. Let's say your coach make students to run 100m in 17 seconds everyday until the very last day. On the final day he says, "For the final exam, make it in 16 seconds!". That's not a fair. He should've applied that curve sometime during the semester, so the students actually could prepare for 16 seconds in.
ОтветитьI was sick for a couple days in elementary school and now I don’t know all my times tables to this day
ОтветитьHere in brasil the govern gave calculus on a exam, and in my school we didn't even finished algebra yet, we still learning geometry and equations (in my class everyone has 16 to 17 years.), it's just so dumb to see this terrible education.
ОтветитьOof calculus in college only damn we are advanced
ОтветитьThe best way to pass the exam is to do as many past exam questions as possible ..the format will then be familiar
ОтветитьKhan academy is an awesome way to get better at calculus. I’m only in 9th grade, and khan academy explains everything so well that even I can do well.
Ответитьif u study algebra and master it, then trigonometry and pre calculus course, you will master calculus
ОтветитьI very much agree. I went into calculus I with a very poor foundation in algebra and trigonometry. I was struggling with the course and barely managed to get by with a C average by the end of it. However, I prepped for calculus II by reviewing a calculus textbook which allowed me to review for past prerequisites of calculus in addition to being able to review concepts pertaining to differential and integral calculus with my newfound knowledge in those areas I was previously lacking in. I got a relatively easy A in calculus II.
ОтветитьI am going into calculus, after starting college with very little to no high school math. The most important thing I've learned is a strong foundation in the BASICs of math will take you so far. Review the basics to breeze through the hard stuff!
