getting the body position right even with a reference is pretty difficult but this makes it way easier, thanks.
ОтветитьWhy have I never thought to use "stick figures"
Ответитьcanandian monke man knows his stuff
ОтветитьDude your techniques have been very helpful for me and my pixel art thx bro
ОтветитьThis is for sure one of the best resources I've found about character construction in pixel art, other of the best ones I've found is a blog from a game dev who explains the process making a 96 x 96 character... Aside from those, most pixel art tutorials i find focus mostly on super small pixels (like in the original Pokemon) or any size but basically undetailed (which is totally understandable if you're either an absolute beginner or a solo gamedev that has to do code, sprites, sounds, testing, and everything else i forgot to mention)
Anyways thank you for the great video
There's really is a lot of very painterly aspects to this method that I never really realized before!
ОтветитьThis is so fascinating and I never knew how pixel artists shaded and outlined but now I get it
ОтветитьIf I could design sprites this well, I'd be a rich boy from all the games I could make.
Ответитьits kinda fun how spider man has a cyclope face in the first two
ОтветитьThis is by far the best method to make characters
I just started almost a month ago and this explanation and process was easy to understand and very useful
This channel deserves millions of subscribers.
Your intro song is sooo good!!! It gets me so excited for the video
Ответитьcan you make a game about spiderman with these sprites? please author answer
ОтветитьHey there brandon and everyone! I'm new here. Just wanna to ask, is this method can be applied to bigger size character sprite too?
Ответитьthis is Really helpful thanks
ОтветитьMost helpful pixel art tutorial ❤️
ОтветитьWhat software do you use?
ОтветитьI remember playing a Spider-Man game back on the Sega MegaDrive. Might be cool to do a sprite study of that game and compare to what you did here.
ОтветитьJust could imagine how good will looks the spiderman game of the megadrive if you was the artist
ОтветитьMy first pixel art is in my profile photo
Ответитьi don't understand the purpose of that extra pixel on the foot.
ОтветитьBeautiful!!
ОтветитьGreat Job Brandon, I loved it! Beautiful work! <3
Also you can check my pixels too if you want! :3
I love Spider-Man. He is one of my top 3 superheros along with Bats and Wolverine. IT is so amazing that U can create such high quality stuff so fast.
ОтветитьI’ve fallen down a rabbit hole on this channel
ОтветитьSeriously , you telling the size of character you create or make helps me a better to understand
Ответитьit's awesome
ОтветитьInsane!
ОтветитьFor someone who's been taking basic drawing courses lately this method speaks to me. I have yet to take the plunge into anatomy proper but this sprite method seems the obvious way to go.
Also, the sprites in this video turned out really well!
haha, came back to your channel after a really long time for exactly this! Only 2 weeks old too! Thanks Brandon!
ОтветитьThis is going to be extremely helpful for that new Nintendo Garage Builder game coming out in June
Ответитьthe only thing bothering me is that highlight for the red, I think it's way too bright, other than that it's all really amazing lol
ОтветитьLOve it. This video is so good the dislike/like ratio is less than 0.2%
ОтветитьHOW
Ответитьi challenge you to make a chibbi bighead small body character.
Ответитьcan you make a animation tutorial
cause i'm bad at it
Uuugh, I have the hardest time with the stick figure thing.
I was wondering, do you try to follow the rules/limitations of the hardware the sprite would be used on? (8x8 tiles, 3 colors and 1 transparency color for example) I'm trying to do a project, though I've shelved it atm, and I'm running into roadblocks.
Spriter-Man!! :D
Ответитьthe video hashtag tho lol-
ОтветитьI like the idea of leaving gaps in the silhouette, that's so good for helping remind myself of the form... I feel like I often loose some dynamism in the street between the pose and the coloration. Very cool!
Ответитьme saying inti not into in a vid be like:
E
Awesome :) i think i use this way for practice with selective outline i feel not good himself with it.
ОтветитьPlease try normal pencil art. You have amazing skill. Try to make a comic.
ОтветитьGood tips :)
ОтветитьWhat program do you use??
ОтветитьQuality content.

ОтветитьYou should try the Donkey Kong Country Rendering style. It could provide a bit of a challenge
