Ответитьthanks a lot of you great job broo and please make another ipv6 with ipv4
Ответитьthank you for this video
Ответитьhahhaha what fuok is this !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьSo I grabbed your newest static.yaml file and people might be a bit confused what that last IP address spot is. That's where you put the gateway address.
Couple of weird issues I ran into while following the tutorial.
Issue 1
Since I am the latest build 23.10 (not an LTS), I had to chmod permissions on his brand new yaml file (He's updated on his github page). I found out that the new file will give you a message saying Permissions for static.yaml are too open on version 23.10 severs.
The fix: chmod og= static.yaml this removes the two r (read) permissions that are created by default. If you run the ls -l command in the netplan directory before running chmod you'll see what I mean. You just want them to match the original file permissions. I ran the netplan apply and got rid of the permissions warning.
..But wait there's more!
Issue 2
There is also an annoying bug in 23.10 where running netplan apply gives you a warning Cannot call Open vswitch: ovsdb-server.service is not running. In my case it was not installed when I first built the server.
The fix. is just run sudo apt-get install openvswitch-switch and that will clear out that message when you execute netplan apply.
Again this is a known bug from what I read. It doesn't appear to be an issue in 22.04 LTS or 22.04.3 LTS except for that deprecated warning message in his old static.ymal file.
This is what we IT guys deal with all the time in the profession, and sometimes troubleshooting creates more weird things.
WHODAT!!
ОтветитьBravissimo grazie

ОтветитьHi. I don't understand why you do a "cp" and then a "rm" instead of just doing a "mv"... it works but it is not efficient (be lazy !) - BTW thanks for the video

ОтветитьHi, I enjoy your videos. I followed your instructions and installed Ubuntu server and installed Nextcloud, but you stated we could copy/paste a config from your GitHub page. But I can't figure out how to get it paste into server. I am running server on VirtualBox. I have the Guest Additions iso installed. Where did I go wrong? I can't utilize Nextcloud until I complete this. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!
ОтветитьExcellent video, thank you! Its been awhile since I've set up a linux server, most of the servers I stand up are BSD, so this video was a real life saver today!
