Tutorials | MicroFreak - Episode 5: Connectivity

Hi i have a connectivity issue with my MF, i want to connect it using a hardware synth with the original midi connections using ordinary old midi cables but although i have done so the freak does not respond, what are the settings i need to do inside the MF in order to make this connection work ? Btw this little beast has a lot of synth power !

Is it possible to connect another synth and use the microfreaks sequencer?

I have two questions:
1. are the midi connections type a or type b?
2. will a midi signal that is sent to the microfreak via USB be transmitted to the midi out of the microfreak? I am thinking of the midi through function possibilities.

What sort of cable would i need if i would like to pair my Tracker to a microfreak using their Midi "Jack" in/out ?

If it has a usb port on it. I expect to be able to plug that into my computer and be able to play a track from it in my DAW.

Excellent connectivity with modular gear, but it’s rather a shame that so many of the control options require several thousands of pounds’ worth of pc to function. How about making the Control Centre available over iOS too?

I have a Behringer RD-8 and need help syncing it with my Arturia Microfreak. Any suggestions would be appreciated

I don't know how can he say "it is easy to set up", I have done so much research online and have owned the microfreak for over a year and still cannot get Microfreak to sync up the arpeggiator downbeat with Logic Pro X's Midi Clock, and because of that I can never record anything from the Microfreak. Can someone from Arturia clarify how to do this??

3 years since this video came out and syncing arpeggiator with Logic Pro X still is an issue… the tempo syncs, but the arpeggiator always starts not on the beat and stay off the beat consistently 🤦🏻‍♂️

Sorry if the question is dumb but how could you connect it to an interface like the minifuse?

Can you tell me how to use my Moog werkstatt with the micro freak so I can use the micro freak keyboard and arp etc?

I got a microfreak for my birthday half a year ago and i'm still wondering/looking how i can clock my drumbrute to my microfreak and you just had to plug it in like that?? tried it a million times and it still didn't work. what are the settings to make them connect with eachother? because i'm starting to feel frustrated that i don't get the full potential out of it and it even demotivates me to start playing on it.... @arturia pleaaaaaase help :)

So I prefer regular keys and have been eyeing the keystep 37 for this. Can I use the aftertouch on it to control the pressure on the mod matrix?

Where can i find what kinda midi break out capbles do i need?

I'd like to see a MedusaFreak combo of the Polyend grid attached to the Microfreak synth. Imagine being able to have different matrix/knob/oscillator settings per pad of the Polyend controller that you can play or sequence. Plus the mpe control over the Microfreak.
