I care about school, but im too embarrassed to ask for help, and when i do, the teacher writes down the steps to the equation im supposed to solve. Then i go back to my desk, not having a clue what the gibberish means, im not sure what the teacher thinks but how am i supposed to learn from the gibberish if i don't know why each step is performed?? Plus i cant go online to figure it out, it's either a bullshit explanation or it's behind a paywall.

I think quality assessments are like that no matter what. At both a 'fast food' coffee shop I used to work at and at a bargain store I currently work at, the managers were always given at least a few days of prior notice to straighten everything up. It always seemed redundant to me since they're not evaluating a 'normal' day. They're judging a display and performance the boss pressures the employees to keep until they leave.

My school administrators had a method where they'd say they'd be watching a class during one period, but they'd come in during a different period. About three teachers got fired in my senior year because they were caught off guard and the admin caught some pretty abusive behavior.
