I'm using Raspberry pi Zero 1.3 and just in the first startup it allow me to connect to the vnc with the ip and now I can't connect and I don't know why, the only way that I can connect it's with the command vncserver :"DISPLAY-NUMBER" but I want to connect to the real one on port 5900 and I can't. Can you help me please ?

Hi, this was not working on the newer version of Raspbian, i had to do it manually.

i had to edit the "/boot/config.txt"

framebuffer_width=1920
framebuffer_height=1080

Hello, im receiving this message when trying to connect to my raspberry OS via the macOS Big Sur via Finder-Connect to Server -vnc:// The software on the remote computer appears to be incompatible with this version of Screen Sharing.

VNC is good, but I like Remote Desktop better.

Running a Xorg server all the time after autologin doesn't seem ideal, as it's a waste of resources. Personally I just start Xorg, then the vnc server manually through SSH first whenever I need to use VNC. Of course, scripting this makes it easier to use. Disabling the video (HDMI) output is also a good idea (with tvservice -o).
