My Top 20 Tips to perfect your mix! Help this get 1000 LIKES, thanks! 🤓
ОтветитьTo expand on the idea of high-quality samples, it's super important to make sure your samples are all recorded using the same sample rate/bit depth. I have found that a lot of Vengeance samples are all over the place, and when you play your song back through any decent studio monitor; your mix will sound like unwanted distortion
make sure your file heiracrhy is all in order. Such as where you save your tracks, stems, and finished project files/Demos.
Understand song structure of EDM and which tracks can be automated to fade in and out.
Make sure bass frequencies arent conflicting
any other production ideas?
🤯
ОтветитьThat intro is amazing! 😂
ОтветитьDo you mix on headphones or studio monitors0 If both, in what order?
ОтветитьMilk was a bad choice lol
ОтветитьGreat tutorial! Thanks
ОтветитьBruv im 10 + years into production and I've used ableton primarily. I have never noticed the crossfade button, thanks for the introduction! you're a genius!
ОтветитьThis is absolute gold! Thank you so much!
ОтветитьHello Stranjah, from Clarke in Manchester, England, (across the pond), i have 18 Nebula tracks and in 90+ % of them they absolutely light up the last minute drum patterns with delay, echo effects, panning and all types of trickery. can you tell me about anybody else that's as tight with there drum manipulation as Nebula.??? Thanks
ОтветитьThis is some of my favorite content of yours
ОтветитьNot a mixing tip, but make sure to always set the quality of the ableton stock reverb to high
ОтветитьMan your videos are helping me massively with mix downs and eq sound design and structure of my tracks is pretty decent but just trying to learn how to mix down and your videos are really helping thanks buddy I've recently subscribed and liked a few of your videos.. your tunes are sick too 👌
Ответитьthanks. you're a good teacher!
ОтветитьFirst time seeing your channel, and I gotta say such a gem for beginners like me as well. I fully connected and understood everything clearly. Thank you so much for the help!
ОтветитьThat’s the first time I ever saw anyone mix milk with tequilla
ОтветитьDOPE🔥
ОтветитьI found mixing each track against pink noise is a good place to start. Loving your videos.
Ответитьdude Sinkhole is so good and it's crazy you picked that because I was just thinking of using that as a reference, its just so well mixed.
I once flew into Bogota, Colombia at midnight my first time in south America, flying down the highway in the back of an uber through the scariest neighborhoods iv ever seen with that tune cranked to 11 nothing ever fit so perfectly.
thank you for this man it was great
Ответитьthanks masterrrr
ОтветитьFabfilter and blue cat audio EQ's are imo the best ones out there
ОтветитьYou know I’m on those free VSTs haha
Ответитьthis intro ! I love it haha! Ja blesssss
Ответить👏
ОтветитьCan you be kind enough to make sense of bringing a mastered track into ableton, to A & B it with the mixdown project, and it being as loud as the mastered track?
How is your mixdown so loud already? it sounds the same level as the mastered track
thanks dude! so helpful
Ответитьjust found you, nice channel...i been using abe's 10 years peace
ОтветитьI like Uhbik-Q. It's a parametric eq with configurable bands (bells and shelves), a couple of dedicated filters for low end and center/side mids and two brickwall lp and hp filters. Because you don't have an amplitude response curve in front of your eyes, the interface forces you to pay attention to every change you are introducing and effectively prevents you from taking decisions with your eyes. The frequency and gain of a band are two separate knobs, so each correction is broken down into two distinct steps, which also helps concentrate on finding the right settings, one at a time.
ОтветитьAmazing video!!
On my master channel i only leave Span, Ozone imager to check phase, an EQ with little low and high cut to kinda simulate a weak speaker (like phone speakers) (witch i turn on when i want to check if you can hear bass on them) and a limiter off that I use if i need to hear my mix with boosted volume (like it was mastered).
Am i doing right?
Ableton EQ 8
Ответитьthank you
ОтветитьThanks Stranjah this helped a lot
ОтветитьBut why are my tunes not sounding as loud as other tunes ? I know mastering boost the tune but they seem to be very loud mixdown before it even gets to mastering stage ?
ОтветитьSuper helpful mate. Thanks!
ОтветитьYo , pretty new producer here, I’m using renoise but this is all very useful thanks man! Got a few of your tracks on vinyl too, huge up!
Ответитьso are you not add anything to the master ever or do you just mean during mixing? I thought the idea was to go in after mixing and spice up the WHOLE track via the master...
ОтветитьNice video man, very helpful.
ОтветитьThanks so much!
Ответитьbest intro ever.
Ответитьmakes sense. ty.
ОтветитьInstead of tequila, try cuarenta y tres next time to get a good mix with milk ;-)
ОтветитьHats off mate.. gotta say ive been struggling with this side of things and this has improved my tracks massively.. and no detection of arrogance which is not rare in most tutorials.. keep up the good work, much appreciated
ОтветитьYou get sub for the intro
Ответитьvery good, i know this
ОтветитьGood Job man! great insights and information.
